I want to take the time in advance to thank you for sharing your knowledge with others. I truly do appreciate your detailed and precise instructions that you give in each and every video. I'm ventilating hair for the first time in attempts to learn how to repair my closures that have lost density in some areas and to eventually create my own. In one of your previous posts you mentioned you prefer Asian needles over German, for purposes of speed and simplicity in forming double knots. What is a good online website where I could purchase good quality Asian needles?

Thank you sooooo much for you fast reply. You are so wonderful at what you do and teaching. I want to learn how to make some no track frontals or no wefts,I have very very fine baby hair and it is very thin thin can see my scrap. I would like to make 3 one on each side of my head in the front in between would be my part. The 3rd one would be across the back of my head covering the crown. I was just wondering how thick or wide they should be? I would think they would not be that wide, I would like to know how you would put this together. If this makes any sense to you are not , I'm sorry this is so long again thank you so very much for all that you teach an for listening to an old country girl from Georgia, Tennessee in the US. Hello, I ordered a German needle (N2-3), to try and repair a lace wig. However, I didn't know the needled had little ridges on the end and I was unable to get the hair through the lace. I have 2 questions: 1) Which needle is the best, for beginners and 2) What kind of lace can I use? The units I was trying to repair came from China and those holes are sooo tiny I can't see them, with glasses on. Please advise and thank you for your video. It was most helpful.

It was a closer. You ventilated the sides 5 rolls from the edges and the back of the closer you ventilated 6 rolls pulling hair through every hole. When you attached the tracks do you pull the ventilated hair up around the edges or do you let it lay flat?

How do you fold the hair? Did you fold in half, or you just folded enough to make a loop to tie together.
@SuperWigMaker
6 жыл бұрын
Remy virgin hair, you need to fold it about 2" from root so you won't have a mess in the base with tangling. With root de-scaled hair you can fold it much lower so the returns are longer.

@SuperWigMaker

+SimplyBeautyHairCare I have a little bit of hair on the floor but it i usually what snaps while I ventilate and thus I discard intentionally. You can use a drawing mat for holding hair and pull only the amount you need.

I’ve watched a ton of your videos and I believe i can do this. I have a 6” very straight hairline so finding a topper that would look natural when put up has been impossible. do you have maybe a template of natural knotting directions?
@taylarogers313

I've read in some of your responses not to put too much hair or make the closer too thick, in an average 4×4 closer do you skip holes or ventilate every hole? I just ordered my kit to start ventilating and I really appreciate your videos.
@SuperWigMaker
9 жыл бұрын
As I mention in the video, you first need to measure the holes per 1 cm in the lace, how dense is it. If it has like 10 holes per cm then it should be around 1 hole knot, one hole blank, or a little more than that just to be sure it won't be too thin in density. It also has to do with how thick the hair strands are, if they are asian hair they are rather thick so putting 1 hole and skipping one hole, then it should be normal density. When I say normal I mean medium, not too thin not too thick.

Thanks for your fast response. Do you think its a bad idea to practice with tulle instead of the lace? I received my kit today and I'm really excited to get started but I don't have the lace. I want to make a wearable closure but not sure if the tulle is strong enough. Should I just wait and order lace? Thanks so much for your videos!
@SuperWigMaker
9 жыл бұрын
tayla rogers Well there are tulles that could be strong enough but their structure is not the correct, tulle is woven lace is bobbinet, it has to do with structure. Also the lace they have to mold it with some sort of coating glue otherwise it will unravel because bobbinet is nothing but 3 different directions of thread put one on top of each other and twisted slightly. If you want to practice you should go and get strong lace but since you might not be 100% familiar with bases (you will get the handle of it once you start making your own things) you might not choose the correct lace. Also practice means do it with tulle but also with synthetic hair, don't waste pricey human hair on tulle. This is just my advice. Better yet, contact the lace supplier and ask them where is your order at the moment, if they have a tracking number would help. It is as if I see myself in my first steps in your message :D

You make great videos. I would like to know the best way to ventilate a natural looking hairline with curves and hair near temple area and not a moon/ round shape.
@SuperWigMaker
10 жыл бұрын
You can wear the cap before you ventilate and then mark with some temporary colour (an eye pencil for example) the hairline you want. Also make sure to have the hair in the hairline very sparse and not very dense.

You are welcome, I hope it doesn't turn too thick, cause this is the firs thing everyone does, we all think that we put little hair when we put like 150~200% density lol. But you will learn soon and you will be able to judge by simply watching the ventilation process and know when you put too much hair or if it is the right amount

This is the "asian" type needle. There is the German also but I am so used to ventilate with the asian, it is faster and I can make double knots with this one. It can be very frustrating in the beginning but once you learn how to work with it you will be able to ventilate faster and more precise!

The best way and cheapest to get it is through this store: www.amazinghairstore.com/servlet/the-Lace-Wig-DIY-toolset/s/21/Categories If you see they have these needles, they have holders etc, quite cheap but good quality lace (french which is the best for anything). I don't know how long it will take to arrive to you, but the cost of shipping is not that much.

SHELLY53100 "Closures with rounded back"? kzitem.info/news/bejne/yIiix5aCbH2mioY I do something similar to all closures though, the edges get more hair (like 200~250%) in a small amount of rows (not rolls :D) so they can conceal the wefts that will be right next to them.
