Hello! Your videos are so helpful!! Quick question, what about the single pass? Can I buy that for another park (I plan on visiting later in the day) lets say I start my day at Hollywood Studios (I will book my first 3 rides there with the multi pass) but can I buy a single pass for lets say Guardians?(plan of visiting Epcot later in the day) (in advance)
@Guide2WDW

Thank you! And yes you can! For Single Pass, you can book up to two different rides in advance and they can be in different parks. You can also book Multi Pass for one park and a Single Pass for a different park just like you described. I was able to confirm this today now that the system is online.

When the Multi Pass info 1st came out there was wording about making new selections after using 1 OR after a selection has expired. But that wording is gone now. I think they figured out that could be a hack to get better selections - if not getting to a park until the afternoon pre-book some stuff you don't care about - let them expire then book another tier 1 ride. Have you tryed that strategy & what do you think????

I talked about this at 11:10 in the video, answering the question about being able to book Lightning Lanes from Canada. I agree with you that it's really sad and regrettable that Disney is rolling out the system with such a bad restriction for international guests. International guests are the ones who go to the greatest lengths (and expense) to visit Disney World, and Disney is sending a terrible message by having a system that's so unfair to visitors from abroad.

You are correct. Strangely, Disney removed Lightning Lane from a lot of attractions, including some entertainment like Belle or Festival of Fantasy, and every single meet and greet in all four parks. Seeing how you are quite knowledgable on the upcoming Multipass, you might now this answer. For example: The park does not matter. but this will be the same park. Let's say MK. If I prebook rides for Thursday MK and a ride is not the one I want for that day and/or not the time slot I want and I book them anyway. Now lets say on Monday can I modify the Thursday ride and/or time of those rides? In other words can I modify ride selections before the day of those rides.

Can you pre purchase a single lightening lane at 2 different parks if you have a Hopper ticket? For example purchase 7 days ahead for Avatar at AK and Tron at MK for the same day

Once you’ve used your first Lightning Lane, I know you are free to make selections at other parks. But can you book at multiple other parks? Say I started in AK and after I used my first LL I decided I wanted to book Remy before it disappeared, planning to hop to EPCOT. After I use my second LL at AK, can I then book something at Hollywood Studios or even another ride at AK?
@Guide2WDW
Ай бұрын
That's a great question, and I'm not 100% sure. But right now with park hopping and Genie+, you have access to book any ride at any park you are able to enter. So I believe you will be able to book at multiple other parks exactly the way you said. So let's say you have 3 LLs booked at AK for the morning. You could go to AK, and then once you use your first LL, you book Remy during the afternoon. Then after you use your second Lightning Lane at AK, you could then book a ride at Hollywood Studios for the evening. Then after you use your third Lightning Lane at AK, you see another AK ride has an almost immediate return so you book that one. So you could have a 3 park day with your park hopper and utilize Lightning Lanes at each one of the parks. All of this should work based on how previous systems behaved, but also we won't know for certain until the system comes online on July 24.

Heading to Disney next month staying on property. One day MK one day hopper HS and Epcot. Would it be stupid to not use one of my early reservations and save it for when park opens to try and book remy, while starting my day at HS
@Guide2WDW
Ай бұрын
I need to do more looking into this, but I believe that park hopping doesn't open up until you use your first pre-booked Lightning Lane. So in this scenario, you wouldn't be able to book Remy with that empty slot until you use your first HS Lightning Lane. I think this restriction is because the parks have different prices - basically blocking out someone from booking the cheaper park and then canceling them all day-of and rebooking for the more expensive park. If you want the best shot at getting Remy same day, you might want to book a "sacrificial lamb" LL slot at HS - a ride that you can get a Lightning Lane for as early as possible. As soon as you scan into it, you're then eligible for booking LLs at another park. It may still be a challenge to get a Remy slot same day, but that all depends on when Disney releases same day slots or refreshing in hopes of booking a cancellation. Once again, I am still trying to get more data and information to figure out the best advice for these scenarios.

I was hoping you might answer a question I have about the new system, since it is non-refundable. I have a person in my party who is prone to motion sickness and buying any of these would be a waste, I was hoping you would be able to tell us if the new system requires all people in your party as part of your purchase? I was hoping to find a way to exclude just the one person, since they won't use the pass and these passes are non-transferable

@Guide2WDW
Ай бұрын
You do not have to book the same rides for your whole group. Currently, when you make a Lightning Lane reservation, you can adjust which party members you are making it for, and this was also the case with FastPass+. I have no reason to believe Disney would change it for the new system.

Hubby and I are going to do 4 parks/1day in September and starting at Hollywood Studios. I know we can pre book up to 3 rides but are really only interested in 2 at HS (Slinky and Tower). Should we book a random 3rd one in hopes of cancelling and re booking in a different park first thing in the AM? (Which you kind of touched on) or should we wait and will we be able to book a 3rd right away in the AM since we will have an “open slot”?
@Guide2WDW
Ай бұрын
That is a great question! So, I think it depends on how early you could get Slinky or Tower. I still need to do some more testing to confirm this, but it seems like you can't make a Lightning Lane in a different park until you've used your first one for the day. This makes some sense since Disney charges based on the first park you select. So, in your case, it could make sense to only book 2 Lightning Lanes if you could get Slinky or Tower really close to park opening. Then as soon as you scan in, you could make your 2 new selections in the park you're hopping to, replacing the ride you just scanned into and filling your empty slot. However, if you can't get those for early enough, it may make sense to grab an easy to get ride as early as possible as a sacrificial lamb. Like get Alien Swirling Saucers right at park opening, mainly to give yourself a chance at booking a good ride at a different park. This is me kind of thinking out loud, as I'm still trying to wrap my head around the system. But I hope this makes some sense and helps! I'll be making some more LL videos soon that dive into these types of tips, so thank you for your question!

@Guide2WDW
Ай бұрын
Is your trip for Disney World or Disneyland? As far as I know, only Disneyland sold Genie+ tickets. Disney World got rid of their Genie+ ticket add-on awhile ago. If it's for Disneyland, the system will work the same as Genie+: all same day reservations. Your ticket will work as intended. If it's for Disney World (and it's a ticket type I was unaware of), then I would contact Disney's Guest Services to find out more. But once Lightning Lane Multi Pass goes online at WDW, they won't operate Genie+ anymore, so I would assume anything you have would be converted over to the new system.

Hi. Great video. Do you know if the lightning lane multi-pass reservation times can overlap with each other (like they could with Genie+), or do they need to be completely separate times (like the fastpass reservation system)? Would there potentially be different overlap rules for pre-book vs day of reservations?
@Guide2WDW
Ай бұрын
I actually do not know. I'm hoping it works just like Genie+, as there can be some big advantages to having overlapping times. For example, if you booked Peter Pan's Flight, Small World, and Haunted Mansion all within the same 2 hours, the reservations would surely overlap, but they're so close to each other it's very doable to get all of them done. Plus, it would be great for booking new Lightning Lanes with the rule of 3. But because guests start with multiple reservations, I could see Disney preventing overlapping like FP+ to try to avoid LLs running out too early in the day. This is definitely one of the first things I'm going to look into when the system goes online next week. Thanks for the great question!

From what I could tell from my limited testing, reservations can overlap, but they have to start at least 40 minutes apart. My daughter has an annual pass, and I have dated tickets. Will we be able to book our multipass 3 days in advance for our entire stay?
@Guide2WDW
Ай бұрын
This is a tricky scenario! If you're all staying off-site: You will be able to book 3 days in advance from the start date of your ticket for the entirety of your stay. However, your daughter will only be able to book 3 days ahead of each day one day at a time, because her ticket requires reservations. I'm not sure if Disney has anything built in to their system to accommodate for this. If you're staying at a Disney Resort, all of you can book 7 days ahead for the entire length of the resort stay.
