I don't know if it was the same house but when I was a little kid I got that fancy Barbie house for Christmas in the late 1990's that was two stories, had an electric elevator, and it was pink with a victorian era esque house design (haven't seen that thing in probably over 20 years). I'm not mad just bummed out haha because had I had the foresight to hold onto all of my stuff, properly take care of it, properly store it, and not give it away or at the very least only let people borrow it versus letting them have it i'd probably still have most if not all of it 🥺😭 Still salty about it so I feel ya 🤣

I thought that you've been making miniatures for a lot longer than 3 years. You are very good! I think that there are people like you who have the ability of an artist, then there are people like me. I need instructions. I just can't visualize creativity. Don't ask me to put together a flower arrangement. It's not going to look good. My skills need to have structure. I was a computer programmer and took classes to be an accountant. I really enjoyed both fields. BTW, Ara did get her first project into a museum, but she worked on the project for 11 years. I'm sure that there were a few items that didn't make into the house. Ara is amazing. I can see how she has gotten even better over the years that I've watched her.

I finally started my greenhouse mini from a glass display cabinet I purchased and it is not as scary as I thought. I also just purchased a 3 level dolls house that is 130cm tall and 80cm wide. It was $20 from the opshop or second hand store if your not from Australia. I've already started to replace the wonky floors and about to redecorate the exterior. If I pretty it up enough and make some basic furniture from cardboard by Christmas im going to sell it and use that money towards a laser cutter so I can make furniture myself.... possibly even sell the kits locally because no one does that in my town. This is all inspired by your channel and your easy to follow instructions. I watch the other mini channels but I've found your videos to be the most inspiring and easy to follow for my personality. kzitem.info/news/bejne/q5WOvqKkjaWZlpwsi=-mcXO0jEm6GMhi5U I think these mini mugs are a great beginner project. They're fun and easy to do with stuff you already have. You can paint them with nail polish. You can also start with paper straws, if you have them. Another great beginner project is making a mini book. There are so many tutorials. I started making minis by repairing broken furniture, then modifying existing mini furniture with paint etc, then I customized some mini kits. There are lots of ways to get started. Just START. It doesn't matter how they turn out. It's about having fun and being creative.

Bentley House Mini's, Little Gretchen's Workshop, and your channel have all been my reintroduction and reinspiration to miniatures! My sister, mother, and I made mini's, collected them, and built houses in the 80's and into the 90's, but life took over and it all just fizzled 😞. Like many, COVID really took away the things i enjoyed outside so I refocused and as fate would have and KZitem played it, the 3 channels I mentioned above floated into my "suggestions" and the rest is history! I want to start a channel of my own so bad! But i have ZERO idea how to do that.

We'd be a match made in heaven. I don't love doing the smaller stuff--what I call the "accoutrements." But I love planning and building things. And I love the larger decorating--wallpaper, flooring etc. I too hate all things that have to do with numbers, including measuring, but I have worked to overcome this (sort of). I try to find ways around numbers. I also hate horror movies. And I'd rather saw my own arm off than electrify a house, although I am trying (sort of) to get over that. I also am very impatient but tenacious. By gosh, I WILL have my way with this mini thing. Thanks for sharing your story.

@@queencityminis that is where I am at sure ptsd is a bit different but it has gotten so bad I can’t go out I avoid going out . I just recently got a new dr who found herself taking me off meds that worked for a decade for me without reason other than they are addictive . The drug crisis is so sad because people with pain or in my case ptsd I’m having trouble getting treatment for well documented ptsd . She simply removed the medicine because it was a benzodiazepine. Unfortunately depression meds make me worse . In a nut shell not having help made me realize how much I want to be better because depending on a dr to write a prescription is still kind of just as helpless . I believe we are in a healthcare crisis and drs don’t have compassion the way they once did moral has gone to all time low . I was okay until The med change . At first I tried what she said and figured maybe she cares and she is right I don’t want to be on something that is “addictive” three med failures later and she refuses to place me back on what worked for me and it left me in. A place where all I Do is isolate because going out I have wound up in the ER for tachycardia. This left me helpless . I just honestly got so tired of it I started frantically searching for new drs .. but even if I go to the new dr and get the symptoms under control it doesn’t change I’m dependent on a person and a medication for help . So I have been trying to lean more on prayer and reading the word of God and going back to art and watching art channels and sermons . I’m basically watching my dr commit malpractice and because she can clearly see I’m in area (clinic) in low income threshold what am I gonna do sue -I hope to one day overcome as you did because I don’t want to depend on anyone or anything for my peace .
