I have been watching your videos for a while, but this is my first comment. I think your videos and channel in general is super important. As a Chinese American adoptee, you represent a unique and often overlooked perspective in society that is so important to be heard. I always look forward to hearing you commentary on societal and political issues, and recognize the high quality work you put into every video. Thank you.

Cheyenne, even if we disagree on certain opinions on celebrities and pop culture, I am still ecstatically euphoric about your newest milestone. I am also ecstatic to know that we can also share some shows, movies, and literary works that we both enjoy such as Mean Girls because it is an all-time classic. I know that I should have engaged with the question-and-answer segment to celebrate your 130,000-subscriber milestone, but I have been swamped with university work, specifically concerning a term paper I have to submit for my Introduction to Black Studies course. I'm writing about Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids and how adolescent Black masculinity is represented in this animated show. Once again, Cheyenne, congratulations and lots of fortune to you and your family.

I think both the ideas for new videos are excellent. They're exactly in your niche. "Pop culture from an intersectional lens" as you stated is pretty spot on. I'm not east asian, or american, or an adoptee, or an expat. You offer an intersectional lens I otherwise don't really have access to. I think both topics fall right into your niche and if they interest you, please make videos! If it helps you to know, Mina Le and oliSUNvia are awesome, but I come back to you more often. You're more relatable. It feels like a conversation with a person I'd know irl. It's human enough for me to contemplate and think about by myself. A lot of dissections on youtube can feel already set in stone. A youtuber decides to talk about things a certain way after hours of research and organising content, and I kinda just end up digesting more than engaging. Sometimes things are too dense and don't give my brain room to think alongside. In contrast, I feel like I learn a lot with you. When something in the world doesn't sit right with me, I can't articulate my discomfort immediately, but with some thinking and reading I find the vocabulary for it. I can explain, with passion, but I'm still learning and I'm not writing a textbook. I get that humbleness from you a lot and it's what keeps me coming back. I also just vibe with your personality. I like that you haven't become preachy or motherly with your following over time. You talk on camera like I would after a ton of research. Just all round relatable. idk if this helped at all. Congrats on 130k subs!

I knew your channel before but its just recently that I've been watching a lot of your videos and I really like the way you express yourself and how you create such a safe space for minorities. Also, I understand how frustrating it can be not having much views in some videos, I think it may be a issue more related with the algorithm rather than quality? Idk, I think your videos are really well done so I hope you don't pressure yourself and think they are the problem. And btw, the ideas you were talking in the end about the impact on documentaries around ea and stereotypes about chinese people seem really interesting to me. Looking forward to your new videos

Make sure to take some time off for yourself. ❤ Regarding your social media topic, I had a really hard time in HS (i graduated in 2014) and i dont know how i wouldve "survived" without my phone LOL (sounds kind of silly yes, but I went to a prep academy that only cared about prepping us for college. There were zero extra-curricular activities for us. I kind of gave up in HS.) I socialized with my friends briefly because 1. None of our parents would let us hang afterschool 2. I didnt have many classes with my friends. So I felt really alone LOL the only thing for me back then was social media, i felt like i finally "belonged" somewhere.

its a shame to hear you’ve been dealing with a lot of burnout. from a viewer’s perspective i don’t think this is reflected in the quality of your videos, which have been brilliant as usual. i truly think it must be down to youtube’s algorithm (i know, that old chestnut lol). i have to say that a few of your recent videos haven’t been recommended to me and i had to check your channel to see what you had posted recently. i think videos reflecting on documentaries and the asian diaspora would be great! there are so many directions you could take those subjects in, and covering the obama documentary would be really interesting since i’ve never heard of it before. i hope you feel better soon, you’re a great creator and so insightful. i can’t wait to see what you come up with in the future!

I'm American living in Brazil and the idea of people "sqeezing" by someone else in the US being rude is wild to me. People here are "folgada" in every since of the word. People in the US will stand in a way that doesn't impede your space brazilians will stand in your way on purpose. Brazilians will drive faster when you're trying to cross the road. I think this is one of the things that's almost impossible for me to get over and will drive me crazy until no end. Don't get me wrong I love Brazil its a beautiful country with some of the sweetest people I've ever met but that part about people in public is dead wrong Brazilians don't care in the slightest for other Brazilians.

@@andred7684 having visited every region but the south I can mostly agree. There is a cultural undertone of trying to get ahead of one another even if its just a little just so you can rub it in everyone's faces that is unlike anything I've ever seen. There is a sense of selfishness here that is nearly universal. I'm grateful to have met wonderful kind people here but I think the majority of gringos are mistaking people being nice to them just because they're foreign or want something from them with genuine kindness.

I think it was because I didn’t like the Movie and was tired of all the positive and negative hype around tbh. I do really like your video idea of morality of eating dogs!! I hope you go with it and I can’t wait to watch if so! 🫶🏽 As an ex vegetarian I personally think it’s weird how some people in the west will be so disgusted at the idea of eating a dog while consuming plenty of other types of animals. The only thing I can really think of that would make me not want to eat a dog is because I don’t think they’d taste that great and fish is my go to animal based protein anyway 😅
