He got in a fight with a male copper, the female was only a witness to it and he got done for GBH on the male officer and common assault on the female officer, which just means she feared for her safety but was never physically touched. @@avertismentguy62 ok he "assaulted" (not fight) a male police officer causing him Section 18 level injuries and also assaulted his colleague (a female cop). Doesnt matter how you spin it - its still awful. I've read MIDDLETON'S book and when he's describing the incident it doesn't come off well at all. He barely has any remorse about it and refers to it as a mistake, blaming his temper. He's also never formally apologized to either officer, despite their attempts to reach out to him and also failed to declare it when being vetted for the TV show that made him famous. Doesn't sound like the actions of someone who has truly accepted and taken responsibility for their actions.

He would know, as a member of 9 Sqn, the Royal Engineers attached to Paras, have done P Coy & Brize, but not the full para course, maroon beret but RE cap badge, same for the Marines, they dont have their own engineers, they use 59 Ind, Royal Engineers who have done the equivalent commando beat up and tests and wear a green beret. The same for REME, SIGS, RA etc. Dont know why Ant is saying like Marines have their own support arms, they do definitely borrow from the Army, though higher quality.

He didn't go through Para Depot. He isn't a Para. He did an all-arms selection course. That's not Parachute Regiment. The Para Depot is also 6mths long. (only 2 weeks shorter than the Marine course. (2 weeks is fuck all. It could be 2 weeks of admin and drill for all we know) He's got more respect for the Marines because he did their entire Depot course. Had he actually been a REAL Para (and not a support arm) I bet his respect for the course would be different. 3 weeks of misery (in the all-arms environment) is VERY different to 30 weeks of misery dished out by Depot Para. Also, Paras can do both convential and unconventional warfare. We are set up to do airborne operations anywhere in the world. This can include specialist long-range reconnaissance, sniping and joints fire tasks, mobility, sabotage, and direct action raids.

I understand the rivalry and distinction in nuances between units/divisions. My dad started in the Royal Hampshire regiment who had a huge rivalry with the Queen's Regiment, both part of the queen's division before amalgamating to create PWRR. In no way though, do I believe that veterans of these units feel any genuine hatred towards those of another regiment/unit. You care to enlighten us or just make vague accusations?

@@stephenmurray2851 Vague? He never served in either one of the three battalions of the parachute regiment. He was an engineer who went to 9 Sqn and then did P Coy. He eventually went to Poole and left at the end of his probation period post passing selection. You just have to know where to look. Or even better, just ask yourself this one question. Why does no one from anywhere who worked with him during his time, actually rate him? Hereford has Andy McNab, we've got Radders, and Poole has got Ant.

@@thewarmaster-horuslupercal6862 You've spoke to the people who worked with him? Who are they?
