I am visiting Antananarivo, Madagascar to get a feel and understand SAYNA, a young company in the space of digital literacy and employment, started by a very young entrepreneur, Matina Razahimahefa (26) at the age of 17.
This short film introduces you to the city of Antananarivo, and it's charming environs.
As I walk through the streets for meetings at offices, and over lunches, I just happen to film short clips and stitch into these short films.
First impressions of Madagascar and capital Tana (Antananarivo)
Nation - Underdeveloped, with challenges of poverty.
Tana -
Densely populated, concentrated and crowded.
Traffic heavy, slow moving, mostly oneway as vehicle numbers seem to have exploded.
Terrain, undulating and mountainous.
Huge numbers keep walking, public transport lacking.
People - middle class, lower middle class majority - keen on education, aspirational
Weather - a little more cooler than Kenya (Tana 9 - 23 degrees Centigrade)
This is part 1, part 2 shall follow.
The short films on SAYNA and it's activities are loaded separately.
Will be a pleasure to hear your feedback.
Thanks.
