Fifteen years on and due to it's ongoing popularity in mentions from Ant fans on social media (shared pictures etc), I have finally decided to publish a film of the one and only... Antfest!
It's been made not for profit, but purely for the enjoyment of insect warriors who attended, and those who couldn't!
Created from various DVD's and even CDV's sent to me way back when.
In two very long days (and nights heheh!) I edited the material together into the highlight film you see today.
Conert footage interspersed with some backstage shenanigans and a short interview with Ant drummer Terry Lee Miall himself.
I was able to improve the original audio recordings significantly with modern tech, especially on the eq and reverb.
Both Terry Lee and fellow Kings album legend Kevin Mooney got up to do guest spots on the night.
Infact Kevin Dj'd the backstage party (which all attendees were welcome to) after the show. It would have been fabulous to get some footage of that, however we were all three sheets to the wind by then. Kev included heheh!
Interesting random fact about 07/07/07:
It was the DAY the indoor smoking ban took effect in the UK. I remember that Terry and I spent a fair amount of time outside having a ciggy and a natter, along with many Antfans.
Kev took no notice of the ban. (Still a Punk at heart..!)
It was a looooong day/night for the bands with sound checks starting early afternoon, and the show itself couldn't really have gone any better.
To all the bands and Antfans who travelled to the event from far and wide, enjoy this nostalgia trip!
And to those who didn't, enjoy this insight.. for the first time! 🌠
It's highly recommended that you cast to TV and put it through a good sound system. And turn it upto 11. 😉🏴☠️
Below is a list of the bands whom appeared that night, and links (if known) to their more modern work.

5. Mantra 2
Lead singer Cat Mantra (that's me hahah!) became a solo artist circa 2010, although everyone who performed with me at Antfest have remained my close friends, and indeed I have recorded with both guitarists since. (And Marko Ward on drums.)
My main lead guitarist Simon "Snagster" Foster has infact been a Mantra stalwart since 2004.
He's also recently toured with Scorpions legend Uli John Roth. He's not too shabby heheh! Basically the best guitarist I have ever worked with. And we both like Pizza, so it's a win win. 🤔😋🤣
I've now moved onto other projects however I very much enjoyed working in the studio with several of my Ant heroes between 2004-2018.
Most notably Terry, Dave Barbarossa, and Marco Man. Chris Deniro/Constantinou also played bass on one track.
As this is the Antfest video the link below goes to my final "working with heroes" album, "There's a Bullet".
It's a compilation of everything I did with Ant guest stars minus one track. My version of Man Called Marco with added lyrics.
You can find that on the album "Legacy".
And if you like a bit of Rockabilly/Outlaw Western check out my new era sounds on "Cobra". Founding Pole Cat member and Morrissey lead guitarist Boz Boorer guests on the title track.

If you have a Spotify subscription you will note that my main living comes from my Swing (Rat Pack) type recordings. Strange I know but there you go hahah!
I do confuse my followers when I change genre every six months or so, but there ya go. It "Swings" between the Rockabilly/Rock and Roll and the Big Band stuff these days.
I seem to be going further... back in time. 🤔🎶🎸🎙🎶
6. Antmuzic
Lead singer Dan Raven along with his band totally ROCKED Antfest and brought it to a fitting erm.. climax. (Oo-err Mrs hahah!)
I had planned to limit this film to one hour however I enjoyed rewatching their set so much I had to put an extra ten minutes in! And that's that.
Dan has also gone on to a solo career with much of his own material and several collaborations with Cat. (Me.) Heheh!
Also with Marco and Dave Barbarossa on our joint ep "Cat Mantra and The Raven".
That can be searched on all digital stores, however the link I am posting below is to (as I write this) his NEW album in 2022.
