@@DjUpinHereI see you’re very anti-catholic comments around many channels. I am sorry for your sentiment. But if the Catholic Church is from Satan and demonic how come it is still ONE after two thousand years and the Protestant churches are all divided only after 500 years? Christ has the answer: “And the scribes which came down from Jerusalem said, He hath Beelzebub, and by the prince of the devils casteth he out devils. And he called them unto him, and said unto them in parables, How can Satan cast out Satan? And if a kingdom be divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. And if a house be divided against itself, that house cannot stand. All of my anti-catholic beliefs were based on biased perspectives about what my Protestant faith expressed about what Catholics believed. During my formation process I was astounded to have had such a skewed perspective. I had a ton of questions and the answers weren’t always easy to digest. @@Lerian_V Are you disputing that the worship of propitiatory human sacrifice is the core tenet of Christianity? You know, that cross thing and John 3:16... Christians believe that God sent one of his sons to be tortured and killed as a sacrificial offering (a practice adopted from Paganism). They worship this father who sent one of his sons to be tortured and executed (and literally called it a sacrifice) as part of a ritual intended to appease a god. In Christian theology, atonement refers to the forgiving of sin through God's sacrifice of Jesus. Paul created Christianity in 48 AD and this is how he put it: Romans 8:32 "He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all." 1 Corinthians 5:7 "Christ our passover is sacrificed for us." Romans 3:25 "God presented Christ as a sacrifice of atonement." Romans 5:8 "God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us." I went to Mount de Sales Academy, an all-girls Dominican-run high school established in 1852. The school chapel is so beautiful. One peculiarity is that the stained glass windows face the rear of the school. @petegalvez7955 The Church numbers the commandments differently than protestants did, where the part you pasted is considered the first commandment instead of the second. The Bible doesn't number them 1-10 clearly. Keep in mind that the Church has been slandered for centuries because, if any of these points of criticism were to be reconciled to the extent that they become less than schismatic in people's minds, well, a lot of people would have to accept the teaching authority of the One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church again. For 500 years, a lot of people have believed that the Church, which Christ built on Peter, is more than any group of people with Bible in hand following their darkened intellects. Understandably difficult to accept. Anyway, here is some writing from the Council of Trent "The images of Christ and of the Virgin Mother of God, and of the saints are to be had and retained particularly in churches, and due honor and veneration are to be given them; not that any divinity or virtue is believed to be in them on account of which they are to be worshipped, or that anything is to be asked of them, or that trust is to be reposed in images, as was of old by the Gentiles, who placed their hopes in idols; but because the honor which is shown them is referred to the prototypes which these images represent; so that we through the images which we kiss...or bend the knee, adore Christ and venerate the saints, whom they represent." [The Canons & Decrees of the Council of Trent (TAN Books, 1978) p. 215-6] If the commandment meant that we cannot make statues of Saints, rather than cannot worship statues and images like we should worship God, then it states that we can't make statues of anything really. It would be a prohibition of making statues or images of anything... on Heaven, on the earth or in the sea. When I said "less than schismatic" before, just think that you could criticize a Catholic person who's got too big a collection of Mary statues or Saint pictures, but if this criticism is not of the entire Church itself, it implies that people in other Churches would have to consider coming back to the Church which has the Authority that Jesus gave to Peter and the Apostles. But again, some people will say anything to prevent that from happening.

Trent thank you for bringing this subject to light. My family moved South in the 1950s and we experienced the anti- Catholic prejudice from all sides. As a 12 year old I was confronted on the 1st day of school. I had classmates who initially welcomed me until the question as to where I went to church. When I mentioned my Catholic Church I was told I was going to hell and many turned away and never talked to me again that year. My teacher would routinely put down Catholicism and teach non- truths about nuns and what we believed. I was always defending my faith openly and my grades suffered because of it. The ironic part was that my Mother was Protestant so I had no prejudice against other faiths and my Mom taught us our catechism while maintaining her beliefs without issues in the family. I must say, this was one of the most insightful times in my life. I would never have had such deep appreciation and love for my faith had I not had these experiences. It forced me to ask questions and to learn exactly what my faith taught so that I could rebut by explaining to my teacher and classmates the correct truth. The following year my parents found a Catholic school for me to attend and I really soaked in the meaning of our beliefs. ( Atlanta, Ga- only 4.Catholic Churches in the entire city and surrounding area). I always say, God makes lemonade out of lemons. He has walked with me and helped me to defend my faith all these 78 years. It was a difficult time for a 12 yr old but a life changing experience. Trent I love that you are offering your debates and rebuttals . I love the kindness , love and confidence that you demonstrate. You are touching hearts. PS. Many decades after that memorable 6 th grade year, a protestant friend of mine from that class needed to stand up to school officials in a subject related to her own children in school ( no religious context in her defense). She told me that she got the strength to stand up because she remembered how I stood up in class to our teacher who was not being cordial to me. You never k ow through whom God is working- more lemonade for her.

My church was built in 1853 just two years earlier, and the mob of Know-nothings rolled a cannon up to the front doors of the church that they took from the city arsenal. A priest was killed by people throwing rocks at him, and the two Catholic churches in the city were almost burned to the ground. I'm so happy that didn't happen! I, for most of my life had a very limited understanding of Catholicism, just the traditional/ignorant "They worship Mary, kneel before Idols of the Saints and Teach that the Bible is whatever the church says it is" Kind of understanding. It wasn't until I had a real desire for the more Liturgical, Sacramental aspects of the faith that I started really studying Catholicism, Eastern Orthodoxy and reading the Church Fathers. I realized that I knew very little of Catholicism, and have since grown to have much more respect for the Catholic Church. The Holy Bible says: Isaiah 58:13-14 13 “If you turn away your foot from the Sabbath, From doing your pleasure on MY HOLY DAY, And call the Sabbath a delight, The holy day of the Lord honorable, And shall honor Him, not doing your own ways, Nor finding your own pleasure, Nor speaking your own words, 14 Then you shall delight yourself in the Lord; And I will cause you to tride on the high hills of the earth, And feed you with the heritage of Jacob your father. Acts 4:12, 1 Cor 3:11. . BIBLE says “believe in Jesus to be saved”. Acts 16:30-31, John 3:16. 10. Catholics claim Roman Church inherited infallible authority from Peter. BIBLE does not say that in Mat 16 or John 20 or John 21. 11. Catholics claim Roman pontiff inherited infallible authority from Peter. BIBLE does not say that in Mat 16. 12. Catholics claim bishop of ROME = the pope. BIBLE does not say that. 13. Catholics claim there is an office of bishop of bishops/universal bishop/pope. BIBLE does not speak of such an office. History tells us the first bishop of bishops came in AD590-600s. 14. Roman Church has all the false unbiblical clergies - Roman priests, roman cardinals, roman pontiff, monks, nuns, friars, … BIBLE mentions only pastors, teachers, evangelists, prophets, apostles, deacons, bishop, elders. Titus 1:5, Eph 4:11, 1 Tim 3. 15. Roman Church claim its doctrines come from traditions of Apostles. @@DUZCO10 Those are historically false statements that these apologists need to put a stop to, especially if they routinely appear in their video threads. From the time of Jerome until the 9th century, Latin Bibles based on his translations not only included his prologues labeling most of the books "Apocrypha" but they also didn't even include Baruch, because he didn't translate it and nobody cared! It was "added" by Theodulf of Orleans in the 9th century and was even then, inconsistently included. The Alcuin Bibles didn't include it. Not to be totally unrelated, but I think this is largely why the Church opposed Freemasonry. It's not in a conspiratorial sense, but a metaphysical sense. Catholics, Orthodox, and most Protestant churches condemn Freemasonry since it worships a vague, grand architect deist God, which is idolatry and not the God of Abraham, not the Trinity, not Jesus Christ. On the other hand, Freemasons claim that any man of good nature and any religion can be a Freemason and still retain his religion. I think it's a bit more complex than that. Within Masonic initiation, I believe the essence of the man's religion gets effectively "baptized" within the Masonic craft, effectively replacing the essence of the religion with Freemasonry, while retaining the exterior form of the rituals, etc, which is why Masons have no issues with any religion - it effectively gets "superceded" by Masonry, although the external form of the man's faith can remain. The Mason can pray toward Mecca, pray the Rosary, go to Divine Liturgy or read the Bible all the same - insofar as it makes him a better Mason. Liberalism, which is largely tied to Freemasonry historically, retains largely the same nominalist ethos we see today: you can have the form of Catholic, Protestant, Orthodox etc; and pray your Rosary, read the Bible, go to Liturgy, do whatever rituals you want etc; as long as the essence of your faith remains neoliberalism (e.g. support socially progressive causes, abortion, etc). Ask the people saying this: shield against what? "We can't allow people to use Christianity as a shield anymore" exactly means "We can't allow people to be Christian anymore." You're exactly right.

My birthplace was in Ohio on what they call Abolitionists Row. General Grant and his family had lived in this area for generations and it was a big area for Quakers, Mennonites and German Baptists. there was not a catholic to be found and it was clear they did not want them there. As a black man I was concerned but not really. In my school (friends school) I learned the plight of the Quaker and Germans in the early days before the migration to America. The queen was killing them off village by village because they refused to convert. They taught us why we were assisted in escape from slavery and it was because to them it was ungodly to force people into bondage and Gods will make them help us.

Being anti-Catholic is NOT being anti-Catholic persons, but anti-Biblical beliefs. One of many glaring examples is that during the Council of Trent in the mid-16th century, what was the reason (?) for deleting God's Second Commandment --- “You shall not make for yourself an image in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below. You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the parents to the third and fourth gener ation of those who hate me, but showing love to a thousand generations of those who love me and keep my commandments." --- making the deletors self-appointed editors of God's Commandments --- HOW DARE! --- starkly against Deuteronomy 4:2 --- "Do not add to what I command you and do not subtract from it, but keep the commands of the LORD your God that I give you." Kindly explain.

I've recognized the point of this video for a long time, but I couldn't agree more with what you said. I might also add that Catholics seem to be in a kind of limbo regarding whether they are a protected minority or the "uncool" majority. That is, they are in the Christian majority but Catholics themselves are a minority. There's also, as you pointed out, the fact that discrimination against Catholics who are actually in good standing with the Church is much more common than discrimination against Catholics who disagree with the Church on topics such as abortion and marital/sexual morality.

Honestly, here's my opinion of why anti-catholic bigotry is so permissible: Satan has control of the culture, and he directs the hatred of the culture to the object of his hatred, namely the Church. This also extends to many non-Catholic Christians, but the hatred isn't always directed at Christianity as a whole; why not? I believe it's because you know exactly what you're up against with Catholicism: whether an individual layman, priest, bishop, or pope disagrees, the Catholic Church as a whole teaches the same thing. You don’t get that with most of the rest of Christendom, and many of the others are on the side of today's culture. How much has Satan taken over the culture that he doesn't even have to direct people's ire against all of Christianity because even many "Christians" are on his side?

I think it's getting as murky w/ Catholicism as it is w/ the protestant side. Yes, there is more uniformity w/ a stronger top down structure in the Catholic faith, but there are still many parishes falling to wokeism and Pride Masses. This being supported by ultra liberal bishops and cardinals, who won't oppose it, even when conservative laity try and appeal to them for help in blocking it from overtaking a parish. So in the anti Christian agenda, whether Catholic or protestant, they know what we teach in the bible, against their liberal agenda and they impute it to all Christians. Which they rightly should, because if we're Christans worth our salt, then we stand by those moral principles and teachings of the scriptures.

The Bible ITSELF Contradicts Luther's doctrine of "scripture alone" (solascriptura) The Bible tells us that the authority is THE CHURCH: ... ● 1 TIMOTHY 3:15 The pillar & foundation of TRUTH is the CHURCH. ● EPHESIANS 3:10 10 His intent was that now, THROUGH THE CHURCH, the manifold wisdom of God should be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly realms, ● 2 THESS 2:15 We are to hold fast to the TRADITIONS we have been given, either by WORD OF MOUTH or by the letter. ● 1 COR 11:2 I commend you because you remember me in everything, and maintain the TRADITIONS even as I have delivered them to you. ● JOHN 21:25 Jesus said & did Many other things that are too numerous to be recorded in writing. ● HEB 13:17 Obey the eldars in the CHURCH. ● MATT 18:15-17 15 Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother. 16 But if he will not hear thee, then take with thee one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established. 17 And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto THE CHURCH: but IF HE NEGLECTS TO HEARTHE CHURCH let him be unto thee as an heathen man and a publican. The True Church is a TEACHING Church: (to Teach means to impart knowledge that is not presently know....not in writing) ● JOHN 14:26-31 26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall TEACH you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. (To TEACH is to impart knowledge that is not presently known....not in writing) ● ACTS 8:31: And he said, HOW CAN I, (understand scripture) EXCEPT SOMEONE SHOULD GUIDE ME? And he desired Philip that he would come up and sit with him. (The scriptures are not for individual interpretation. They need the guidance of the CHURCH. It is PROTESTANTS who are following the doctrines of a man.) nnnnnnnnnnnnnnn Luther's doctrine of "Faith alone" is ALSO False: ➨ WORKS, PENANCE, & PURGATORY (All copied from the protestant version of the Bible by me) ➨WORKS: ● REV 20:12...The dead are judged BY THEIR WORKS. ● JAMES 2:18 Faith without works is dead ● MATTEW 19:17 Jesus tells us if we want to enter into Life, we must keep the commandments. ● MATTHEW 5:16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your GOOD DEEDSand glorify your Father in heaven. ● JAMES 2:24 A man is justified by works, and not by faith only. ● ROMANS 2:6 He will judge everyone ACCORDING TO WHAT THEY HAVE DONE. ● ROMANS 2:13 13 (For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified. ● MATTHEW 7:21 Not everyone who says to me: "Lord Lord will enter into the kingdom of heaven but only those WHO DO THE WILL OF MY FATHER. ● PHILIPPIANS 2:12-13 Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, WORK OUT YOUR OWN SALVATION WITH FEAR AND TREMBLING; 13 for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure. ● MATT 25:35-40 JESUS tells us to feed the hungry & clothe the naked (good works). He further warns us that those who do NOT will be sent away into the eternal fire., but those who do these WORKS will enter the Kingdom of Heaven. ● LUKE 16:19-30 The story of Lazarus and the rich man shows us that the rich man went to hell for refusing to help Lazarus who was poor and hungry. (He refused to do good works) ● TITUS 3:14 KJV And let our's also learn to maintain good works for necessary uses, that they be not unfruitful. ● EPHESIANS 2:8-11 (KJV) Protestants "prove" their false doctrine of "faith alone" By quoting EPH 2:8-9 and they STOP before they get to number 10: 8 For by GRACE are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast. (most protestants stop here instead of continuing on to 10): ➨ 10 FOR WE ARE GOD'S WORKMANSHIP, CREATED IN CHRIST JESUS UNTO GOOD WORKS, WHICH GOD HAS BEFORE ORDAINED, THAT WE SHOULD WALK IN THEM. ● 1 COR 9:27 (KJV) (Paul speaking) But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a cast away. ● MATT 12:36-37 36 But I say unto you, That every idle WORD THAT MEN SHALL SPEAK, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. 37 For BY THY WORDS THOU SHALL BE JUSTIFIED, and BY THY WORDS THOU SHALL BE CONDEMNED. (not by yout faith alone) ➨PENENCE: Protestants reject the idea that they must do "penence" (attempt to make up for the sins they have committed) ● Luke 19:8. Zacchaeus told Jesus if he has cheated anyone, he will repay them 4 times over. ● Mark 2:20 Jesus said (regarding his disciples): The days are coming when the Bridegroom will be taken away from them, and then they will fast. ● Matthew 6:16 When you fast, do not look dismal, like the hypocrits do ● Acts 26:20 RSV but declared first to those at Damascus, then at Jerusalem and throughout all the country of Judea, and also to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God and perform deeds worthy of their repentance. ● Acts 2:38-40: Do Penance and be baptized everyone of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of your sins and you shall recieve the gift of the Holy Spirit. For this promise is to you AND YOUR CHILDREN, and to all who are far off who the Lord our God shall call. ➨PURGATORY:. ● 2 TIMOTHY 1: 16-18. Paul prays for the dead Onesiphorus. ● 1 PETER 4:6 The gospel was preached to the dead. ● 1 PETER 3:19 , Peter says that after the crucifixion and death of Jesus, that Jesus "went to speak to the spirits in prison", which means that there is a place people go to after they die that is a prison and not heaven nor hell. ● MATT 12:32 Whoever speaks a word against the son of man will be forgiven, but anyone who speaks against the Holy Spirit will Not be forgiven, either in this world, nor in the "world to come" This implies that some sins are forgiven in the "world to come" (purgatory) ● also 1 COR 3:12-15 & more in the Catholic Bible: (2 Mace 12:46). “It is a holy and wholesome thought to pray for the dead, that they might be loosed from their sins”

One hundred years ago a Catholic Priest was killed in Birmingham, AL, by the Klan for performing an interracial marriage. The violence against Catholics came to a tragic end when on August 11, 1921, Father James Coyle was shot in cold blood on the porch of Saint Paul’s rectory by E. R. Stephenson, a Southern Methodist Episcopal minister and a member of the KKK. His murder came just hours after Father Coyle performed a wedding between Stephenson’s daughter, who converted to Catholicism, Ruth, and Pedro Gussman, a Puerto Rican. The sad story turned even uglier when at the murder trial, Stephenson’s defense lawyer, who was paid for his counsel by the KKK, argued he committed the act in self-defense. Judge William E. Fort, defense lawyer Hugo Black, and the entire jury were all Klansmen. The jury acquitted Stephenson after one vote on the grounds of “temporary insanity” in a bogus caricature of justice.

That hospitals that are legally hospitals are expected to function as hospitals, instead of centers for appeasing catholics. Seriously though, I think you might've confused concept of hospital with church. Either that or you're just expecting catholic church to be treated with special previlige. The first Irishmen to take up arms against the crown in rebellion weren’t the native Gaels, but the Anglo-Irish Lords that were outraged at King Henry’s (and later Queen Elizabeth’s) Apostasy.

As a graduate of a catholic college and all girls catholic high school, I've been repeatedly stereotyped especially by men as a "catholic schoolgirl type " and until recently took the stereotypes to heart. Further, on my job there were 3 separate instances by muslims, one a supervisor where I was informed openly that I was "too catholic to be trustworthy." Another told me that my cross necklace was inappropriate for work.

I'm really sorry you had these experiences and I will pray for you as well with all Catholics who experience bigotry or discrimination of any kind. I urge you to report this stuff to your HR Manager and your local Labor Department. It is very illegal to be discriminated or harassed in the workplace because of your religion.

I think there is much anti Christian bigotry in our secular culture now. When it comes to specific anti Catholic bigotry, we other Christians must have your back on these matters. Attacks on your branch of the church are against the whole body, and we must bear each others burdens in these matters. God bless.

@@RumorHazi _"You are misrepresenting the Catholic faith..."_ Wait. Are you denying that the literal worship of propitiatory human sacrifice is the core tenet of Christianity? You know, that cross thing and John 3:16... Christians believe that God sent one of his sons to be tortured and killed as a sacrificial offering (a practice adopted from Paganism). They worship this father who sent one of his sons to be tortured and executed (and literally called it a sacrifice) as part of a ritual intended to appease a god. In Christian theology, atonement refers to the forgiving of sin through God's sacrifice of Jesus. Paul created Christianity in 48 AD and this is how he put it: Romans 8:32 "He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all." 1 Corinthians 5:7 "Christ our passover is sacrificed for us." Romans 3:25 "God presented Christ as a sacrifice of atonement." Romans 5:8 "God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us." Hebrews 10:10 "We are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ."

@@RumorHazi If you have evidence that the Bible figure known as Jesus existed, provide it. However, it is an absolute fact that there is literally no contemporaneous evidence that Jesus ever existed. Paul made up the Jesus fiction in 48 AD after the Daniel 9:25 prophesy failed to fulfill. Shouldn't we expect that if God was walking around town for thirty years that the locals would have noticed? Fun fact: none of the Gospel authors witnessed Jesus.
