Fabrizio Lo mismo me pregunto yo. Hay muchas obras excelentes que son por completo desconocidas. Por dicha que podemos escucharlas por youtube.

@@ronaldbejarano2236 agreed! KZitem isn't awful, but the users who are also a KZitemr of the Classical Music that's a bit awful, not all, but some! I hate it, but one benefit is, I can listen, and I have downloaded the score, and upload them next Christmas, but I will not use this piece by Eberl, but one of his sonata

Anyone know about the quotations? From about 1:50 Eberl suddently turns into Mozart channelling the wedding march from Figaro. Has he lifted a piece popular becasue of the success of that opera, or are both Mozart & Eberl quoting from a piece "Classical period pop"? In fact it's facinating to see the different ways Mozart & Eberl treat the theme (albeit for very differetn purposes)

If Eberl was indeed a student of Mozart himself, he perhaps is quoting from Mozart as homage to his teacher and great composer. Even if he was not a student, he may have still been paying tribute anyway.

Since this was written nearly 20 years after _Le nozze di Figaro,_ it might be a bit of an homage to Mozart, who was one of Eberl's teachers.

Eine formal ziemlich ungewöhnliche Sinfonie! Wäre interessant, Hintergründe zu erfahren, ob und welches Programm ihr zugrunde liegt.

arnoldusglocke, what?! Nobody but germans and those few living in Central Europe understand this kind of ancient dialect...

@@antoniosilva7083 Ich meine, mit Google Translate kann mann mindestens den sinn davon wahrscheinlich verstehen, und das Internet ist nicht nur für die die Englisch sprechen und schreiben können. In other words, the internet doesn't exist for the benefit of the English-speaking world and nobody else. Let people write in the languages they can.

That march seems to have nothing to do with the rest of the piece, but it's all great as far as I've heard heard.

The presence of the march at the beginning means that the work was used as a serenade. The musicians would always play a march as they arrived at the house of the honoree.
