Antonio Vivaldi's Concerto for Two Trumpets in C major, op. 46 RV 537, played by Peter Mönkediek, Peter Roth (trumpet) and Markus Lehnert (organ).
For organist Markus Lehnert, Vivaldi's "Concerto for Two Trumpets" radiates something "very postitive" even in difficult times: "This music helps us discover other facets of our lives." He has reworked the piece, originally composed for two trumpets and orchestra, for a smaller instrumentation. Peter Mönkediek (solo), Peter Roth (deputy solo), both trumpeters of the WDR Symphony Orchestra, also join the organist and Vivaldi's concerto in celebrating the "Year of the Organ" 2021. The video was produced in August 2021 at St. Kunibert Church in Cologne.
