The Epic Leogang Bike Park offers something for every taste and skill level, and my preference leans toward root-infested singletracks. That's why the Antonius Trail is a rewarding choice for me.
This trail isn't overly long and connects Hangman I with the Steinberg Line, covering about 1.2 kilometers and descending 140 meters in elevation.
From a technical perspective, the Antonius Trail isn't too challenging, but when it's wet, the numerous roots can pose some issues. The trail features plenty of Northshore elements, especially during the exposed creek crossings, demanding full concentration. It's easy to misjudge the curves and find yourself precariously close to the edge of the Northshore. So, I'd recommend riding it only if you don't have a fear of heights; otherwise, your mind might play tricks on you.
All in all, it's a cool choice. While Trailforks labels it as black, I'd categorize it more as a red trail - a great option for those seeking a thrilling ride without extreme difficulty.
