Saw these guy's in Toronto last summer at the Coalition Lounge. They fucking shredded and were amazing,, especially considering Lips was really sick. Got to talk to Robb Reiner before the concert. We talked about music and he talked about a song that was jazzy and full of swing they were working on (I'm paraphrasing and vague on that it was nearly 9 months ago) and I'd know it when I heard it and Pretty certain that song is the awesome Warming Up. Got to meet Lips after the show to we was really cool as well and he shredded. Going into the audience and everything. Reiner is a drumming god too. One of my favorite concerts ever. The chubby lead singer of the opening band wore a Yellow spandex suite that was ridiculously revealing (His privates were right there) and was a total diva. He said they were opening for Helix (who weren't there), pored fake blood on the stage and other instruments, had a girl read poetry during the set and...had a sick guitarist that was way too god for this band. Anyways the kid Started insulting Lips after the show about how Lips was a shit singer and how he had to make room on stage for the headlining act Anvil's drums. Lip's seemed both amused and frustrated as he was sick and tired. The spaz didn't understand how touring works. It was almost hilarious because he was so bad and was saying this to Anvil the kings of hard luck tours. Eventually I literally pushed him away so I could get a picture before this guy drove Lips off, and frankly before I punched the ass lol. So that's my AnviI story. It was an eventful night that was awesome Metal and oh so Anvil. Keep on Rocking guys.

That would have been hilarious to see you try and even lay a finger on Axxion's singer cause the next thing you would have felt would have been the floor followed by my foot on your face. First off this was no tour, this was was a one off club show with three local bands. More than half the crowd there were there to see Manacle and Axxion. Fucking Anvil took up the entire stage with their fucking gear and refused to allow any stage space to the opening acts forcing the club to put down a catwalk style riser in front the of the stage, the ONLY time Coalition ever had to do that, so that the openers had some room to preform. Lips was, as usual, being a total dipshit that night, trying to be the rockstar shithead he never became and was firm about not moving their gear around and even going on to say stupid shit like "Do you know who we are?" and "We play in arenas" yet oddly enough in their very hometown there they were playing in a small neighborhood bar. The fucking ego on this dick has been well documented time and time again. As my buddy Devon (the lead singer of Axxion) and I were placing the riser back in the "green room" where Anvil and their buddies were hanging out, some clown in their entourage tried to get all in my face saying to watch out for more of their dumb gear occupying the room and I snapped back at him say, "DON'T FUCKING WORRY BUDDY, NO ONE WANTS TO TOUCH THIS SHIT" and he then backed off all timid like when he saw I meant business before I wiped the floor with all those old fucks. What kind of bullshit is that? That is such sad and ridiculous behaviour from a band that should be embracing and neutering new generation bands instead of acting like assholes to them. Axxion have played all over the U.S and Europe with legendary bands like Tokyo Blade, Riot, The Rods, Saxon and countless others and were never ever treated with the kind of attitude that fucking Lips displayed that night. FUCK ANVIL.

@@MaidenHell1977; When you've been touring for 40 plus years & have made 17 albums your allowed to do that, it's called respect in which a lot you punks nowadays have little of. I'm also pretty sure with the way both opening bands were treating Anvil was un-called for so Lips & Robb Reiner said ya know what kids Fuck You Then!

@@MaidenHell1977 Yup. The OP was right: You simps in Axxion (lolz! Thanks for ID'ing yourself so I know what to avoid), ARE whiny bitches. But I will agree with you on one thing: Anvil likely did, as you said, "neuter" you, your ridiculous, yellow sausage singer and the rest of your band. Way to self promote, you fucking dolt. Hahahahaha.

Axxion are wannabes who have a singer that can't control his voice let alone think they are any kind of rock stars with any clout in the business. Anvil kicks ass.. Always have, always will. Pussies that think Anvil are old and washed up are the bands that go nowhere in their careers. Anvil are still pounding the pavement while bands like Axxion are crying like bitches in a ditch cuz nobody wants to listen to their shit band. Rock on Anvil!! You guys rule!!!

sorry lips / robb... i have to take exception to your rating of 'pounding the pavement'... there's no way it's a 4.50 out of 5... this is the best metal album i've ever heard... y'all's music a,ctually transcends 'metal' you lads have manifested a new super metal genre with all the hooks, textures and nuggets that grace this tunage... you are now espousing 'metal - PLUS'. this album is an easy 5 / 5... sometimes you just have to follow the ball, over the fence and call it what it is... a home run... a pavement pounding, home run... awesome recording. - fogman, ZED HEAD.
