In this video we are talking about anti-anxiety diet or best foods for stress and anxiety relief. Have also explained what role hormone cortisol, also called stress hormone, plays in normal fight and flight reaction and in anxiety. And how by eating foods that reduce inflammation in the body can lower cortisol levels as a result lowering stress and anxiety.
These foods include all foods rich in vitamin Bs, omega 3 fatty acids, magnesium, proteins, zinc and antioxidants. Also foods that improve gut health tend to lower anxiety. Most of these foods are different meats like fatty fish salmon and tuna, oysters, fresh vegetables like spinach, broccoli, kale, fresh fruits like apples, bananas, cherries, berries, various nuts and beans and whole grains. Most of these foods result in an increase of happy hormones serotonin and dopamine.
Have also discussed which foods must not be taken to control anxiety. These include alcohol, caffeine, nicotine, sugary foods. All processed food needs to be cut down or replaced with natural food.
