Thank you sir for the tips. I grew up watching you, Roland Martin, Bill Dance, Hank Parker, and others on TV fishing. I have always been in total awe of y’all. When I was a kid I thought y’all were super hero’s. I don’t have a boat so I will be mainly fishing from the bank. So any of tips you can show us will help me a lot. Thanks for all you do!! - Steven Smart

Those are good ones for sure. Hank fell out of a tree today. Fell 30 feet. Helicoptered to emergency. Had a concussion but no broken bones. Should be fine. I believe God caught him. Thanks. May God Bless. jimmy

@@jimmyhoustonoutdoorsfishing Thank the good Lord he’s okay!! He seems like such an humble good hearted fellow. I know his faith in God will help him pull thru this. I will make sure to pray for him. I know at my church (Bethel Family Worship Church) we have a prayer box that we put prayer requests in. Every service we gather around it and pray over all the prayer requests. I’m gonna write one for Hank. It’s crazy cause right before I watched your video I had watched Hank’s podcast of him talking to Bill Dance. Everytime I see one of y’all (you, Hank, Bill, & Roland) pop up on my KZitem I always go check and see if there is any new videos from all of y’all. I follow all of y’all on KZitem and watch everything y’all post. I would love to see all 4 of y’all make a video together. Especially a fishing video but I would be happy just watching y’all sit and trade stories back and forth. Each one of y’all have a wealth of knowledge and great stories to tell. So just imagine all 4 of y’all together sharing your stories. I don’t care if the video is 10 hours long I would watch EVERY minute of it!! Sorry for the long rant. I’m just amazed you talked to me. Like I said earlier all 4 of y’all are my childhood heroes. May God bless you, Hank, Bill, Roland, and everyone else in this world!! By the way I live close to Weiss Lake in Alabama. My biggest Bass was caught on a Cotton Cordell Jimmy Houston Signature Series Cordell hot spot. I was Bank Fishing at Lake Fork in Tx. On a rock rip rap I made a real hard cast on a 5500c Ambassador that was an exceptional reel. I released the spool and that idiot bait got lifted by the wind and sailed to a point on the other side of the cove and hit right in the hydrilla I raised my ugly stick straight up and started reeling fast as I could and I felt it break free from the grass and mabe 2 more turns it stopped and for a instance I thought it hung up and I was right it did! That Female Hawg started trying for deep water off to my left and I dug in and got right at the edge of the water so I could keep her from jumping and when she tried I stuck my rod tip down. I got her. I know I've told tyou before Jimmy but it's my only 9.23 pound story that spawned before I caught her. On a local fishing show Mark Stephenhen that caught that 17.87 Super Hawg named Ethel that started the Share a Lunker Program, anyway Mark always said if you throw a lipless bait in grass then rip it out and hang on. Jimmy and Mark helped me catch my PB spring of 93. Thank you both.

Talking about a idiot bait. I finally figured out that you could cast a salted senko and let it sit near a bass that you don't even have to work it. I cast 1 and set the rod down to get a chair and caught a largemouth while watching the line

Hi Jimmy, I'm from Gore, Oklahoma, and I'm wondering if you could help me find a boater to fish with as a co-angler/partner because I don't have a boat, but I'm really interested in getting into local bass tournaments???!!! I would really appreciate it if you could help me with this, thank you!!!

There’s really no “wrong way” to fish a lipless. I’ve caught fish on them fishing them in the craziest ways. Me and a fishing buddy of mine once had a contest to see who could catch the most bass fishing these things in the craziest way we could come up with. I ended up taking the front treble hook off and put it where you would normally tie on the lure and tied it on where the front treble hook usually is and caught fish. He did the same except with the back treble and caught bass. I’ve put a curly tail grub on the back treble and caught bass. You really can’t screw these idiot lures up. Am I the only one who when yo-yoing the lipless likes to “listen” for that distinct rattle you can sometimes hear when they hit it on the fall?

Every bait is an idiot bait. You just haven't used them. You can't catch fish on lures you don't use. Catching bass is pretty easy, finding them or rather knowing where are they are and why, makes the angler.

@@scottp7587 Get over it. KZitem has their own way of not having ads. Why not pay for that instead of an illegal ad blocker. Stop jumping on Jimmy or anyone else. You are being petty and pathetic for being so derogatory when you have no proof of your allegations. How would someone even know you have an ad blocker?? KZitem I’m sure has ways of finding out. I pray you decide to delete your comment. May God bless you and give you guidance down a better path.
