Here is a link to the first building: goo.gl/maps/4FGQHTWbWFaJNgFH6 The second is directly across the same street. This area is called Doun Penh (also Daun Penh). It includes the Riverside area, the Royal Palace, the Museum, Central Market, Old Market, and Wat Phnom. It also has universities, major hospitals, some of the ministries, and the very fancy Vattanac Mall and Rosewood Hotel area. Prices are always in USD. Looking forward to showing you the apartment we chose next week!

Why are you looking to rent an apartment for just 3 months? So many hotels are offering amazing long term deals. I’ve been living in my hotel for almost a year. No contract, just month to month rent & I have access to all amenities!! However, glad you found something suitable.
@ForRiel
2 жыл бұрын
We certainly considered that option and looked into several deals, but most give a price for 1 person, then an extra $100 for another person, an extra $100 for a bigger room, etc. Then there's the fact that we wanted a washing machine and a kitchen, plus a bit more space than a hotel room, so we went for an apartment. We found a fantastic spot and are happy with our choice! 😁🙏🇰🇭

Hi Jeremy and Claire , hope all goes well in the big city , sorry to hear about your plans to return home being disrupted , I have a feeling travel will never be the same moving forward , apartment hunting is always an adventure , no matter where the local , my main concern is always with space , can't stand being in tight quarters , drives me batty in no time , as to our 4 legged friends , the " Furries " , I for one will miss them , when they're no longer a part of the landscape , but I suppose the modernization movement currently afoot within the Kingdom , had to come about sooner or later , I do wonder however , at what cost , the words " Go West Young Man " once offered untold visions of unexplored regions of our world , but as we modern explorers know all to well , that window is closing fast , keep exploring Jeremy and Claire , continue to seek out uncharted vistas and territories , as for me , my adventure today will be to gaze upon an old movie titled , " Earth Girls Are Easy " , something I've never found to be true in my own personal explorations , perhaps I missed something along the way , looking forward to seeing more of Phnom Penh , good luck with your plans to return home , hopefully the third time is the charm , stay safe , take care , and as always , Peace ...

Hi Brian, our first flight was cancelled back in August and then we were due to fly in November, and that one cancelled in September. We are ok with it and have made a decision to just make the best of the situation, whatever and wherever it ends up being. I agree that travel will never be the same again. The need for PCR tests prior to flights along with the need for suitable proof of vaccination are both hurdles that we will get used to in time. I really enjoy looking at apartments and exploring different areas, so finding this place where we eventually moved in has been wonderful. There is just so much going on in Phnom Penh and each area has a distinct personality. Some parts feel a little like backstreets of Bangkok, others have almost a Japan-like quality. The best thing is that everything nearby and exploration on foot is wonderful and very rewarding. Thanks so much for sticking around for these installments!
