The creek is a brutal ascent for any crawler but I noticed that my 540 motors that I have been using in my SCX10III have been getting extremely hot. I was originally using the motor that came with the Dynamite ESC brushed motor combo, and then swapped over to an RC4WD Motor, and while I am not saying anything bad about these motors, they did not work out for the weight of my rig or what I was putting it through (even with a motor fan) so I wanted to try something different that I haven't seen a lot of people using. I found this motor on prime and wanted to test it out. I am very happy with the first run, as you can see in the video it doesn't have any hesitation and it doesn't sound like the motor is working hard to get the rig moving. It stayed at a manageable temperature during the run ( I was intermittently monitoring the temperatures) I chose the 27T version of this 550 Can motor to run in my 13+ pound truck and it performed better than I expected. Plenty of low end torque and more than enough wheel speed. The fitment was straight drop in with no modification. Definitely worth a check out!
