I never stop wondering how music has no boundaries. This masterpiece could be composed by any classic composer - it is never going to fade away. And these guys give their own strong and sensitive impression to it. Moments like this make me feel proud I am Finnish. Besides them, I also recommend Sonata Arctica, J. Ahola, etc.

My violin teacher is wanting me to switch from the violin over to the cello.... he feels that I would have more of an affinity with that instrument instead? .. then he showed me this video, and now Im HOOKED!!! Now after watching these guys, I know what he meant by having an 'affinity' with an instrument:-)

I saw them live for the first time in Paris ... which incidentally was their first concert in France (circa 2003-2004) in support of the Reflections album ... considering that their fanbase in France was seriously underestimated the concert was held in a tiny-ass poetry club (La Maroquinerie) with a capacity of 300 or so people. You cannot immagine the level of intimacy at such a concert. Amazing. When I saw them few years later in Toronto, the concert was good but it just wasn't the same.

This is so fucking beautiful. It doesn't matter how many times I listen to this, I'm astounded every single time. Its beauty in its most lyrical form, and Perttu is right- cellos really do sound very close to human vocals. I can hear the words as they play. Its truly magnificent.
