You have a great testimony, it's Great how you Honor God, and a thought came to me when you put your feet in the water, and thought of your feet being in the Pool of Bethesda, God's got His way of Healing! With the rain Patches is nervous about slipping/falling again and if so it could take her off the trail. We’re going to come back in warmer and dryer weather to complete the Smokies 👍. We’ve revised our miles to take it easy on her knee for a bit so no more 13/16 miles until we get to VA.

Love the Nantahala River! Have been white water rafting there many times! Had great chicken chili at the restaurant you’re at. Best chili dog I’ve ever had at the restaurant across the river! Get that looked at. Even if its “just a sprain” you’re going to need some healing time. Prescription strength naproxen sodium works wonders on taking down swelling.

I watch a guy, Toby in transit, he is on KZitem and the same thing happened to him when he did the AT. He took a few days off. He had to do it every once in a while. He would ice his ankle and put it up and he made it.

My best friend broke his leg, getting out of his car. He planted his foot in such a way where there was just enough psi to snap his bone and he felt it and said to himself ouch that hurt and he walked around on it for a whole whole entire weekend …He said to himself this doesn’t seem right and got x-rayed and he had a broken leg. The doctor said it’s it was a very rare set of circumstances that happened.

Was your taping too tight? That would explain the foot swelling.

I don’t think so. The blood is dispersing through the ankle and foot. It’s all black and blue right now. I sprained it pretty bad
