Can practically smell that beauty! Grandmother would have called that an apple crisp. Hers had a pinch of clove in the apples instead of cinnamon and a grate of nutmet along with cinnamon for top. Mmmm

My Irish great grandmother used to make apricot pie. I’ve yet to recreate it! 🥧 😋

My Cornish gran used to make rum soaked apricot pie with mincemeat....I've only had success making it as a tart but it's a flavour combo I'd recommend! Also works with brandy xx

Could work since it doesn't need to bind. For my GF crumbles, I use fine maize plus a bit of cornflour. Very neutral flavor.
