Long before we had supercomputers in our pockets that we open with our eyeballs and navigate with swipes and taps, there was this beut. Released in 1997, the eMate 300 was part of the Newton line - Apple’s version of the Palm Pilot - and was especially targeting the education market.
Joining us for this teardown was the Brent Rubell of @Adafruit Industries, and together we explore a little bit of @Apple history, how the technology it employed advanced mobile computing, and 1997 Jonathan Ive’s (not Jony in those days) love of British fashion. :)
