Excellent. This whole series is amazing - literally a video walking tour of Logic Pro on iPad. What's really great is that once you can get started on some of the features, you have enough knowledge to go further and experiment on your own. Thanks!

👍👍why record in live loops as opposed to tracks and what is the fundamental difference and benefits… finding live loops convoluted confusing and a bit gimmicky so far… thanks again 👍

I start my projects in Live Loops. Create, capture and record all the parts of the track and the record a live performance. For me it helps with creating arrangements fast and I don’t get stuck in the trap of listening to the same 8 bar loop over and over again. I feel that my arrangements are more natural feeling and I am finishing more tunes of and much quicker also. That’s how I use Live Loops, I f8nd it very useful.

Another way to create a performance, you can also open up audio file and convert parts to audio loops and mix those parts into loops that come together as a performance, live loops give you like a console with a lot of different phrases into loops / cells to activate instead of having always a linear sequence, etc. but it is a preference, the number of functionalities provided in live loops is superior yo the track editor view…

Yes i will create a practical example on live loops where I will also show additional functionalities… no problems

I am desperately trying to find a way to export audio and or MIDI loops from the loop section. You can do this in Logic Pro for Mac, but I can’t even figure out a good workaround to extract my loops from the iPad version to use them in other projects. Is this not possible? Is there a workaround?
@soundformore

The only workaround at the moment is midi out and record via another app… not great though… they have also added Midi Export in the latest release…

@@soundformore is there an audio unit that can plug into an audio track and get the audio? I know Loopy Pro can somehow be used as a plugin in a track but don’t know if that would work?
@soundformore

@scottdeisher5957 yes many, one that works well with audio is Neon Audio Editor from 4pockets and it saves the audio to the media bay that you can export. You can load multiple instances…

Hey Leo … thanks for creating another helpful video. I am trying to get my head around Logic Pro. It looks like you can either create a track based project or a live loops type project. Can you mix the two types?
@soundformore

Hopefully this being the first version it will improve… particularly if Apple wants to continue with the subscription… :)
