So maybe a cheating agree like hers during the engagement plus the clause in the prenup with language that stipulates how long after the divorce (or dissolution of the engagement/relationship) the cheating clause (or agreement) can be enforced if cheating is not the direct cause of the break up would work well. 🤔

Call it 50, just to make the math easier. 3 million divided by 50 years comes to 60,000/year. Subtract taxes at 25% to 30%, and that leaves 40,000 to 45,000 per year. In which case, if the other guy wants full control of it, he needs to buy out David’s half. The guy can’t just claim it all because the Grandfather died.
@tifadreamers

Yeah exactly what I was thinking. If they shared ownership of the island, the half part that belonged to grandpa should've gone to the heir and the other guy has to buy his share out to own the entire island, so demolishing the house made no sense either. I’d like to know where all these people in these stories live? Where exactly can u turn in divorce papers and then BOOM automatically be divorced? And why do so many say, turned in our marriage papers, instead of we got married?
@Bakuryu0083
2 жыл бұрын
In the US a couple can just go to a courthouse with someone to be a witness and fill out some paperwork. BAM married. Pretty sure the same is true for divorce so long as both people have filled out the proper paperwork. It's usually when there's a disagreement about details that it gets messy and complicated.
@leoniemarks4594
2 жыл бұрын
I know, right? And I have no idea where you can fill in marriage papers and 'turn them in' to make you officially married like that. When we got married back in 1991 (UK), hubby and I signed 6 copies of the Marriage Registry/certificate at the end of the ceremony and that was the last thing we had to do ourselves. The officiator did all the paperwork on our behalf. And we didn't even marry in a Registry Office (Jewish and Muslim weddings were the only types at the time who could legally marry outside either a place or worship or a Registry Office. A few years later they changed the law and you could now get married in a hot air balloon if you wanted - so long as an official (be it a minister of whatever religion or a Registrar) and two witnesses are in attendance). I mean, most couples once married go from their reception straight off on honeymoon. When are they supposed to find the time to go to the official office and 'hand in' their papers to make them officially married?! And finally, in the UK anyway, it takes a MINIMUM of 6 weeks from the initial submission of divorce papers to get the final legal certificate, even if you got a 'quickie' divorce. If you tried to remarry before that time was up, there's no way you'd be allowed to go through with it! I don't know if you have it in the US, but we have to 'post the banns' 3 weeks before the wedding to give anyone with valid cause a chance to read the notice and put in an appeal against it. And to stop you posting the banns miles away from where you live in the chance that an existing spouse (for example) won't see it, you have to do it at the nearest church or Registry to where you live. So, we had our banns posted in London where we both lived at the time but married at a hotel near my parents' house on the south coast, 80 miles away. We also moved away from London to our new marital home the week before our wedding.

What does "best friend" even mean when one or both put knives in each other's back? :) Or does the use of the expression put a hex, curse, jinx on the relationship

I have always said that when it comes to money, I don't believe how much it is until it's in my hands.. Once it's in my hand and no one else has claim to it, it's mine!! That way I will never be stuck or in trouble!!

ugh another man stealer? come on they were doing good with different stories why go back to the same boring ones? but it's funny how many people quit their jobs when they win the big lottery or get big money from an inheritance when it won't even last long we've seen those stories and know how they end up 😂

In the US, when you marry someone you don't automatically marry their debt. I think that's actually Federal law; maybe state but I don't think so. You don't get joint accounts. You don't accept responsibility on existing loans.

The half of the island owned by the grandfather should be passed down Unless they had some contract saying if something happened to one of them then the other got the other half of the island. It doesn't make sense why the grandfather's half of the island wouldn't be passed down.
