@@matthewcardoza1190 Considering it just happened it is home invasion. Squatters rights and eviction are only after a time has passed. It varies between states but my state of Texas to be declared a squatter you have to live on the property 3-10 years. For eviction they'd have had to lived on the property for over a week and claiming they live there with mail. In this case they are just called freeloaders as they are not on the lease. Instead of moving out she should have immediately went to the police station and told them her ex-boyfriend and his mother barged in demanding to live there. She wanted them out now! OP actually allowed this to go on for ten years, feeding those two leeches instead of learning to say No. Seriously? It took her ten years to grow even a hint of a spine? And all she did was reduce the money instead of shutting down the greedy old hag? A great lesson on how to be a doormat. So is the brother's ex. Seriously? Letting them barge in and move in without permission? I would have been on the phone to the cops in a second. One doormat per story is bad enough, but two? What is it with the writers on these channels? Do they have a vested interest in writing about boring doormats? Can't they break free from that mindset and actually write stories about strong women? If Sally's renting the apartment, she should have called both apartment management and the cops instead of Heather. Neither of the intruders are on the rental agreement and management would have to change the locks when they find out the ex-boyfriend had a copy made illegally without Sally's knowledge. And to the person that keeps commenting "squatter's rights", there is an entire process to be considered a squatter vs a trespasser. Showing up for 1 day does not make them squatters. They are trespassing and can be taken into police custody/charged for doing so.
@DawnzeenaMcGill

Yeah but the police won’t do anything without hard proof that Sally didn’t say they could stay there. It would be a classic he said she said situation. Even if she was renting the police wouldn’t kick them out because it’s a domestic dispute and “they can’t do anything” if that’s the case. I’ve had to deal with them saying that too many times about my adoptive younger sister’s bio family when she tries to go to them about the abuse they put her through. “Well it’s a domestic dispute and without hard proof we can’t do anything.” “She has a black eye and multiple cuts on her!” “Well there’s no proof her had did it, he says she fell down the stairs, we can’t do anything without proof she’s telling the truth.” This same conversation can easily be edited to fit the situation of Sally calling the police.

My main problem with this is the fact sally just left her apartment. Yeah she’s planning on moving out, but anything messed up will affect her getting her security deposit back. So call the cops not their sister and daughter. That’s the first thing I would have done after getting home, see them in my apartment call police. Breaking & entering and trespassing.

If I were you I wouldn't been paying and thing at all. No one can take advantage of a person unless you let them.

Let me say this again…it’s your job to raise children and they owe you nothing! 7:14 she said she wasn’t sending it, did you read what you wanted? Work you old woman! Or ask your son for rent (unless he’s a door mat too)
