ANOTHER TIP: Make your mouse cursor bigger! Setting>Accessibility>Display>Pointer Size. This makes it easier to see with a large virtual display.

You don't need to use your finger to hunt and peck on the virtual keyboard. You can simply look at each letter and (with your hand on your lap) tap your fingers together to select each letter. It's surprisingly fast, though of course not as fast as a real keyboard. You can also edit text by looking at a word and double tapping or looking at a spot in the text and single tapping to get an insertion pointer.

great video! at the end when you are covering up the vision there is something to point out . this does not simulate a dark room you are blocking the lidar sensors. the vision uses a combination of lidar and motion sensors to scan the environment. The lidar uses infrared sensor and a flashlight that works in the infrared spectrum (that we can't see) and should therefore work in total darkness. the main problem would be more than the view would get grainy.

Yeah, not my best example but in my testing the AVP didn't work in really dark spaces. I turned off all my lights at night in my bedroom and got the same error... it needed some small source of light to work again.

Question: I use Slack, Telegram, Chrome, Notion a lot for my work on macbook pro. Is it possible to view all these Mac Apps in separate windows in Vision Pro? or when I mirror my Mac display to Vision Pro it only displays a single Mac display?

Great video, and I appreciate you showcasing this in a remote work setting! But I still have my doubts about how practical this device is. Considering that you still need a keyboard and mouse, and if you need those you will require a surface. That's not far from working at a desk with a midsize to large laptop which in itself is not far from working at an actual workplace. Seems to me they need to do away with the need for a physical keyboard and mouse in order for this to become truly practical and more convenient than its counterpart.

Does your mac window in AVP dim? Mine does and no idea how to toggle this, it returns to normal brightness level when I'm using four fingers to switch from desktops and full screen apps, but return to lower brightness after I let go the four finger swipe.

Why do they blur everything outside of the viewing direction? Can this be disabled somewhere in the accessibility settings? I prefer my brain to blur the picture rather than Apple.
@creativeconnection4U

This is to save processing power. To having everything crisp forces a lot more computing than AVP is able to handle right now

Question: I heard if you leave windows open in different rooms (for example KZitem and timer for recipes and cooking) and another at your home office, and you don’t close them, they will remain there and when you walk back into the room, they’re still there. Is that true? And, if so, if you just turn the AVP off, when you turn it on the next day, will they still be there? Also, as long as the AVP is on, how far can you go from these virtual settings until they get disconnected?

Do you know will this work with the iMac or a Mac mini? Also, how close do you have to be to the computer for it to effectively work? For instance, if I was to use it on a Mac mini would I have to sit in front of it, or could I go sit in a more comfortable chair away from the computer? Thanks for the video

It works about the same distance that your AirPods will work. If your AirPods disconnect where you want to go, it's definitely too far. Initial connection needs to be made while you're in the same room though from what I have experienced.

What needs an update is the shacking of the cameras, too much shacking, maybe some stabilization system like in the iPhone cameras will be good
@luismusic101
7 ай бұрын
It’s all about perspective , there is no shaking when using the headset. It’s only when viewing playbacks of screen recordings, which I feel could be fixed with software stabilization, but depends on how much of the cameras FOV used. Plus stabilization system would cause issues like motion sickness for someone wearing them cause things won’t move as you normally see them.
