My favorite place to be--spent part of many summer vacations when I was young there and wish I still could. I hope someday to see it and spend time there again.

@@markh8968 I was there in the 70s though the 80s, and got to visit it after that sometimes until after 2002. Now I'm far away and don't get to travel. I saw some changes over time, old things gone in favor of new, and I suspect it happened more since from what I've seen on the internet. In those days things were way less expensive, of course, and York was known as a more affordable alternative to Ogunquit .But it still looks beautiful!

@@zoesummer1076 you can still walk Long Sands at low tide and watch all the dogs play (until 8am), still go to the Nubble with an ice cream from Dunn’s and STILL throw those miniature bowling balls at the bowling alley in Short Sands! Plus you can have a great chowda at The Union Bluff. And Boone Island Light is still there off the coast, shining every night.

Absolutely stunning, reminds me of my childhood. My mother, a Maine native would take me up every summer to see family and enjoy this pleasant town.
