After your review, I'm really curious about "Bride". But I believe it wasn't translated to Polish yet :/ So I will wait a bit. I've read only two books in April (finished one of them on 1st May at 1 am, but shh): "Cathedral" by Jacek Dukaj (I don't think the book was translated to English, but there is Oscar-nominated short animation based on it) and "A Wild Swan and Other Tales" by Michael Cunningham. Both were really short and both were 3/5 stars for me. But I didn't expect to enjoy them. I needed to read them for Uni. Currently trying to read "Darkness Weaves" by Karl E. Wagner (I'm around 1/3 of the book, but Polish edition also has some short stories, which means I'm around 1/4). It's good so far. And I'm trying to read in English "The Moon is a harsh mistress" by Robert A. Heinlein. It's a fun read. Somehow English version was cheaper than Polish (and the new Polish edition is obviously delayed, like everything else from that publisher). Also! I just managed to order Fairyloot's edition of A Tempest of Tea! It would probably take around a week or two before I can get it, but I can't wait.

My theory is if I haven't been to sleep yet, it doesn't count as the next day so 1am is totally fine to count for April 🤣 Hopefully it gets translated soon because it is a pretty good Ali Hazelwood book. It sounds like you're reading a lot of interesting stuff and I'm so excited you were able to order Fairyloots edition!!! It's so gorgeous!

I'm still trying to get through the fragile thread...you nailed it saying it's a generic ya story. I'm excited to read bride, but I'm not a spicy girl. thanks for sharing your thoughts. I always enjoy them.

If you don't like Fragile Threads, don't bother reading the sequel. It was horribly boring... Super sad about it too. Bride is definitely on the spicy side, but you can just skip over those parts for the most part. That's what I tend to do when stuff gets a little too spicy for my reading taste

April was my highest book count read ever. I read a horrible series (why, I don't know) but also, I read some older series that I flew through and loved. The Ravenhood series is 3 books that I read in 4 days and The Bargainer series is 3.5 books total (one is a novella) and read them all in 4 days. Then I started the Kingdom of Lies series on 4/28 and finished book 3 on 5/2 and the 4th book is supposed to come out at the end of the month. The freaking cliff hangers on these books... I am just glad I didn't have to wait to read the next one until the 3rd book and thank goodness that one comes out soon because what... the... f. Currently I'm desperately trying to get through a 284 page ARC 😑 I know I should DNF it, but I get so few ARCs I request I'm punishing myself to finish it. I don't know if it's me and I am used to reading easy candy fantasy books so this is going over my head or if it is actually difficult to get through. It's called Seeker by Samuel Griffin. It sounded so good, but I am just confused about what is going on. I watched this to take a break from it 🥴 and seem to keep finding things to do other than read it. I am on page 145 and should be done soon. Send prayers...

ps. I just DNF that book mentioned above. I have avoided reading it like the plague all day and at just over 60% I still don't understand the point of this characters mission and this book is so slow. I just can't anymore. I should have finished the book really fast but I was so bored I kept finding other things to do other than read it.

@@Brooksie603 Yes!!! DNFing is good for the soul lol. I've become a DNF queen this year so I'm proud of you for putting it down. I know it can be super hard to DNF. And wow that is a TON of books read. And it's good that you actually loved some of them! That's the best part.

Glad you're back uploading more. OMG I just don't get the hype for a good girl's guide to murder it was not great and hated the ending. I'm not continuing in the series. I also thought it would be a 5 stars or at least a 4 stars after I saw Megwithbooks raving about it. I'm thinking I don't have a similar taste as her cause she didn't enjoy Five survive and I gave that one 4 stars. I also just finished Only If You're Lucky and I thought I was going to disagree with you and unsubscribe 🤣just kidding. But I loved her other books and was enjoying this but then it went down hill and I'm fuming about the ending just hated it. The thong scene in Christopher Golden's book reminds me of that one scene in Charlies Angels with Cameron Diaz but I think like most women she's wearing briefs, I think spider-man briefs. I never got the appeal of thongs, who wants a wedge all the time🤣 So I think we have similar taste I'm going to try to pick up Bride and Dial A for Aunties sounds like Arsenic and Adobo which I enjoyed. And also the Husbands sounds really interesting might try that too. Great video!

I think I only gave Five Survive 3 stars so I'm wondering if her books are just not for me lol. I'm glad you liked that one at least. You'll have to read her new release and let me know what you think. I have an e-ARC of it and am planning to read it soon hopefully. 🤣🤣See!!! I was right that Only If You're Lucky was a waste of time. It could have been really good but nooooope. Dial A for Aunties is 10000% like Arsenic and Adobo but actually funnier in my opinion. I liked Dial A way more so hopefully you like it.

This is my first year and I really like it except when I go on their channel a lot of people use it as an art project and I don't have an artistic bone in my body! Last year my daughter made me one, it was so beautiful! She put a lot of work into it so I didn't want to ask her again. I will get this again next year for sure. (they also have a Novel Companion planner that holds up to 120 books.)

@@lesap8889 I love the Novel Companion! I also don't use it like an art project at all either 🤣🤣 I have no artistic abilities either so you're not alone. That's so nice of your daughter to make you one!!! That's so adorable and lovely.
