Great analysis of the square jawed Chechen! I saw a video of Aukhadov doing a straight armed pullover type exercise on a bench to get that shoulder flexibility.

you fool, people are born with that flexibility, you can train it sure, but to be able to do it all the time with ease is just genetics, just like some people have lots of ankle flexion and others have limited flexion. There are fewer O-liftes with intense and aggressive internal elbow rotations like Apti. WHY? cause he has been blessed with alien shoulder girdles.

I always thought your lifting shorts and pants look nice and comfortable Would you make a video talking about weightlifting shoes? There's some people who review shoes (many who are pretty casual lifters) and compare them, but it would be interesting to hear the thoughts of a top level lifter. Things like what you think is important in the shoe's construction in context with lifting etc, what have been your favourite shoes over the years and why, and what are you currently using/what you think are the best options currently on the market. I know Sika Strength did some of this and talked about different shoes, but I'd be interested in your view and experience with them. I don't hear professional lifters talk about their shoes that much, but I believe everyone has their favourites and has thought about them.

Why power jerk, if they can handle more weight with a split or full squat?
@gsincraian

in many cases is because the athlet started learning split jerk with his dominant leg in front, and this is a mistake.

@gsincraian Interesting! I had nobody to teach me correct technique before I found your great videos. But by 50/50% chance, I put the dominant leg behind, because that's how I do my tennis serve 😁
