Good review! I bit on the $100 rebate too. Love the looks and feel (grip) and it's a Beretta. Only 100 rounds through it so far with 100% perfect feed and eject. But the trigger: terrible. You described it perfectly in the video, "weird take-up, mush, much, mush," then without warning bang. Maybe in an adrenaline filled encounter it wouldn't matter, but at the range, it's disappointing. I'm hoping for an aftermarket improved trigger offering. Probably the reason they were so highly discounted. Mine came with two mags, so you got a $25 bonus.

I think one of my mags I bought extra. Should have said that. Also I believe my trigger has lightened up after shooting it a bit, has that happened to yours? Thanks for watching!!

@@triggerbarPhD First 50 I used my standard pad of index finger trigger pull. It was so bad I went looking for options and found Hickok45 uses the first joint of his index finger in contact with the trigger. I dry fired it with that technique and it seemed the "nose dropping" was more controllable, so the second 50 were launched that way. So, I have no sense of a lighter or stiffer pull at the end. The Hickok method for me, made a better situation of a bad trigger.

Love my Nano, carried for years, it is the most comfortable gun to carry, esp with a suede holster. Trigger is DA, long and heavy, it is what it is for daily carry, def a ccw you treat about the same as you treat your wallet. Tough reliable accurate. Another issue is mag capacity at 8rds, but truth be told, an ounce heavier will give me trouble keeping my pants up, I’ve never really felt the need to carry the weight of 4-5 more rounds inside my waist band. I feel it would give me the “George Costanza fat wallet back aches.” Which I already get… You would know by now but I think the lower chassis you got from beretta will only work with the first release Apx carry or the nano, I don’t believe it will work with the Apx A-1 carry due to the pin size of the take down lever.
@triggerbarPhD
Жыл бұрын
Sorry took me a while to actually test the later part. I hadn’t swapped it out yet. Actually if you put the take down lever on the opposite side (left), it fits perfect! I haven’t shot it yet but I’ll do a function test with the new lower. Thanks for pointing out the differences though. The lower is definitely not for the A1 as they changed and went with a lever in the A1 and had the screw slot for the previous version. Thanks again for your comments! It is a very comfortable gun to carry!

just got the same gun due to the same promo you bought it with. for $200 it's just too cheap to pass by. I've taken it to the range, the stippling is pretty aggressive, especially the back and front of the gun, the trigger like noted is defensive style, so it's heavier like noted. I only put 50 rds through it so far but tbh it's not a fun gun to shoot, to boot the low capacity makes it a pretty bad deal for MSRP $400. I'd still rather have this over say a taurus but beretta did really drop the ball on this one by not observing what the market is offering.

PSA ran the sale again and $50 rebate from Beretta so at $179, for an extra 9mm in my safe, I’m guessing it’s worth it. Haven’t picked it up at my FFL yet, but how bad can it be! At least there’s a good name behind it! Thanks for your video!

I had all the same problems you did, and my front sight disappeared during the second magazine. I was shooting in the woods; and I never did find it. Never got the first response to my emails, phone calls, and web message from the service department. Finally bought another, just so I could use the gun. Very disappointed; probably the second most disappointing gun I have ever bought. With the way they were blowing these out I bet it's discontinued. We may see a double stack variant soon. If they do re-issue it I hope they fix that trigger. There is just no excuse for that in today's market.

Mine sailed through 250 mixed rounds with no problem. Weird trigger, but all striker guns have a weird trigger, IMHO. My main complaint is the over the top texturing on the front and back of the grip. If I carry it, that will be taken care of with some light sanding. I know a lot of people are in love with what I feel are overly textured grips, but not me.

Жыл бұрын
Yeah, it got better at about the 150 round mark, my old Canik TP9V2 has probably the best striker gun trigger of any I've own or shot, the APX is probably second best, bu it's still odd and very "doinky" whn it fires. I don't think I'm going to carry it, so I probably will leave the grips alone. It's pretty close to a home run, too bad. Beretta needs to look at some of the other tiny 9mm guns and make their own 10-13 shot capacity gun. @@triggerbarPhD
