Make America Great Again means that Aquarian either has to pay very high tarrifs, or they have to relocate their factory from Mexico back to the U.S. So their prices will be on par with Remo and Evans.

It's just a well recorded video demoing and explains the manufacturing of specific Aquaraian heads that I was looking at whether to buy or not.

man, i have a dw design series, i just swapped out the stock dw remo batter heads for these, im not impressed with the sound so far, but i still giving them a chance, i know coated heads sound awesome, as they do on yours. im actually going to get some different resonate heads. i think that i will do the trick, i will be getting the classic clear for the reso side.im also running a tripple threat on the snare, it sounds awesome. im running the stock remo head on the snare side as well, but it still sounds damn good. can wait to get all aquarians all around

I use/have had great luck with...Studio-X coated heads on the batter and Classic Clears on the resonant side. I have the Design series drums too...You might give the studio-X a try...I find the super 2’s to be too chunky sounding...not resonant enough...and they don’t feel super responsive...maybe I’m just too used to single ply heads... Those stock Remo’s that come on the Design Series suck.... Good luck!

I had Super 2 Coated on my gigging dw kit and I wasn't able to get them dialed in like I wanted, so I went back to Remo. So I installed the Aquarians on my studio kit and am in the process with experimenting with them. Right now the lack of higher overtones and frequencies is something I need to get used to. A fee years ago I used Studio X Clear over Hi Frequency Gloss Black on a PDP CX series kit. It was one of the best those drums ever sounded. They were powerful, robust, sensitive, full, but perfectly controlled. They also were the loudest those drums ever sounded. I'll more than likely end up with that combination in the future.

@kenneth Wilson have you tuned them well? A good way I've found is to tune the reso heads a bit higher. About three steps higher than the batter head. Also make sure it's tuned to itself well. That should give you a decent sound, especially with these heads and your kit.

thanks bro, ive been messing with the drums more and more as the days go on. I usually try and tune the reso and batter side the same, but I will try tuning the reso side higher like you recommended. I'm sorta satisfied with the tune that I have now, my drums don't resonate as much as these do in the video, but im sure if I keep working at it, I will get my drums to sound like this.

+Kenneth Wilson Nice one, it's always wise to play around with different tuning. Give mine a try and see what you think. With the snare, I like to crank that bottom head right up for awesome snare sensitivity then tune the top head to what I like. For the kick, nice and tight but not over the top for the front, and as loose as possible without going flappy on the batter for a nice fat punch. For the toms, like I mentioned above. Should get decent volume, tone and attack that way.
