I've always preferred the eotech style reticle as well . I used to only run Eotech . I still have 553 SOCOM from 2008. It works just like the same day I bought it . I ultimately switched from Eotech because if battery life . The 1k batt life sucks . So I switched to the HS515CM. It has eotech reticle but in red dot form . It also has Solar option as well . So in broad daylight I don't even need to turn it on . The batt life is 30k with no solar , and 50k with using solar . The HS515CM is the only red dot I use on my 5.56s. I prefer TR24R 1-4× Triangle. The only piston carbines I like is LWRCI A5 , 516 , MRP and 816 . My LWRCI A5 12.7 is my favorite. The LWRCI IC Ambi Controls Lower is my favorite . If I could afford it I'd put one on all of my setups . I'm weird when it comes to cleaning products . I've been using G96 for a long time . In the past 10 years the only thing diffrent I've used is Breakthrough Solvent. All I use is tooth brush , Old tshirt and boresnake to clean any rigs. I'm a gun nerd for sure so I love these type of channels . Stay safe out there man shit is getting ridiculous. Not because of the virus but because of society . Keep doing what your doing man .

Watched the Handgun Basics video last night. Great video. Perfect example of less is more-while being so informative. It answered so many of the little things I have been wanting to know. I just had one final question. You never mentioned how often you shoot suppressed. I am guessing that is why you chose the 11.5 over a 10.5. I was just curious if, in your experience, the one inch makes that much difference with the dwell time. My only suppressor experience right now is on pistols. I’d like to build an SBR that would be geared around a suppressor.

11.5 has better dwell time which is suppose to help with reliability. That being said people use both and have reliable guns. Some big companies such as BCM won’t do shorter than 11.5 for 5.56 guns because they deem it to be unreliable.
