I don't know if you saw it, but, on the right side of the mural, there's someone painting. The addition they are making to the mural is the red-haired girl Jinx killed in episode 4. 😔

+ In episode one, a enforcer shoots Powder's father or one of the underground city people. In the scene in episode seven, Powder shoots a enforcer in the same way. It's the same music, humming, just now their positions have changed.

We don’t like Marcus, but he’s choosing to uphold an uneasy status quo for an uneasy truce/peace No character is black and white, just varying degrees of grey with their own goals, ambitions, flaws and choices. Unlike most Netflix shows, the characters in arcane feel like genuine human beings

i dunno whats this hate towards Marcus. In the first episodes he was young and wanted "fame", wanted to be an important man thats why the shady deals, the attitude. Then after the timeskip when he is older he tries to make those shady deals right, he got his daughter etc, but he got tangled in the shady stuff so badly he dont really have the option to leave. He hates being the bad guy which you can see when he goes home and looks in the mirror and he throws down his badge and cant really look in his own face. Or the scene where he imagines blowing up himself and Silco. I love that noone is black and white, they are all all kinds of shades of grey and that shade is always changing.

Once you finish the series, please watch and review the Imagine Dragons music video "Enemy". It shines so much light on the episode and makes the final fight even so much more poignant. It's all new footage not seen in the series. It will jerk your heart strings as much as this episode did.

Wow, I've never seen a reactor actually cry over Marcus' death. In fact, I watched one earlier that actually cheered! I always felt that Marcus is just a tragic character that got in way over his head. Did he deserve what he got? Definitely, but that doesn't make it any less sad. Ep 7 is my second favorite of the season after the finale, and the Jinx v Ekko fight is the best fight scene in the show (though they're ALL great). It's so short, but it's just amazing. The music, the art style... perfection!
@morlock2012

Agreed. Marcus isn't deliberately nasty, but he's a terrible judge of character, which leads him to throw his weight around instead of striking deals, like Grayson did. And he's more focused on the welfare of his family and colleagues, than the people he hasn't gotten to know in the undercity. But the show is all about hard choices, and the costs of making those (or not).

Been really enjoying your reactions! I feel like each episode in this show, except maybe the first two while they were world building, are just masterful emotional punches. And there's so many that everyone will probably get the wind knocked out of them in one episode. This is one of favorites, as an animator the bridge fight is spectacular and the emotion it rips out is mind blowing

I think a poignant thing about this episode is their fight as adults mimicking their training as children. The main thing in particular is when they were training, Powder could already beat Ekko with that final shot to the chest. But when they fought for real, she never takes that final shot at his chest even though her pistol was already lined up for it.

Just in case you're confused about Silco's eye and his little needle device. He's not injecting shimmer into it, he's simply releving pressure that's constantly building up in his damaged eye. It was permanently damaged in the toxic river when he and Vander fought. So now the damage causes the eye to constantly swell. He inserts an air canister into his eye needle device and then taps his eye to relive a wee-bit of pressure, otherwise his eye would probably just keep swelling and eventually explode after some time. Or drive him insane from pain.
@TheNiklo88
Жыл бұрын
Nah he’s definitely injecting it into his eye. It’s been established in the series that Shimmer has medicinal properties, in small quantities. Also in the scene where Jinx interrogates him with the needle device you can clearly see that the needle gives him violent shimmer-like reactions when it hits him. He probably injects micro-doses to keep the infection under control without getting the whole angry-hulking-monster side effects.
@vanteal
Жыл бұрын
@@TheNiklo88 Nope, no shimmer injection. Just an air pressure bottle and a hollow needle. The shimmer looking stuff that leaks out is what's coming OUT of silco's eye, not what is being injected into it. When Jinx stabbs him in the face, there's zero shimmer. He's just reacting to a friggin needle being shoved in his face. So no, he is 100% not injecting shimmer. He's relieving pressure building up in his eye.
@craigr2592
Жыл бұрын
@@TheNiklo88 He was using the device long before he would ever even think about using Shimmer on himself, in the first episode, before he even tested it on a rat. His attitude about using it on his eye was pretty relaxed, he must have already been using it for awhile even at that point. His reaction to getting stabbed in the face with the needle is just pain. And the liquid that comes out kind of looks like Shimmer, but his eye was already discolored like that, again before Shimmer. Also, even the drop of Shimmer in Vi's potion healed a stab wound enough that she was perfectly fine afterwards and could fight but there are no drastic visible effects of Silco's device usage.
@silver9wolf6
Жыл бұрын
I always figured he used it to relieve pressure and then when shimmer was perfected he'd use a little bit. The purple color doesn't really seem to match the red of his eye... but it's not a huge deal :)
@TheNiklo88
Жыл бұрын
@@craigr2592 no, in the first he wasn't using Shimmer, and if you take a closer look he also doesn't really react strongly when he injects himself, unlike the later episodes, which only makes it clearer that he was injecting something, not relieving pressure. If he was simply relieving pressure, he'd have the same spasms he did in episode 4, instead he was very chill about it. It doesn't make sense. What's much more likely is that in episode 1 he was employing a different medicinal to treat his eye, but, once shimmer was perfected and it became clear that it had medicinal properties he upgraded to microdoses of shimmer.
