I ALSO TOOK YOUR ADVISE ON THE YOST TAB! NO REGRETS!!! EVEN WITH ARTHRITIS IT IS THE SMOOTHEST TAB I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED. I DO NOT STRING WALK THOW.

Good demo on that short riser Joe. You pack a lot of info in your videos. I shoot vintage recurves but I am curious about these ILF setups, thanks!

Had one over 10 years ago. With Carbon foam hybrid flatbow longbow limbs. Most accurate instinctive bow I've ever shot. Even ACH KILLER.

JOE, I HAVE A COUPLE PAIRS OF THOSE EAGLE'S QUIVERS. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND GETTING THE 2.5" LOWER EXTENTION. IT BRINGS THE ARROWS BACK BEHIND THE LOWER LIMBS. LOOKS BETTER AND WAY MORE FUNTIONAL AND BALANCE. I LOVE MY VPA 13" I HAVE A EARLY ORANGE MODEL THE GRIPS WERE REMOVED AND BIG JIM SOWED A BLACK LEATHER GRIP. LOVE IT! THOSE YOST ARE A LITTLE SPENDY BUT WELL WORTH IT. I HAVE THE BRASS MODEL.

Hey barebowjoe, when string walking are you knocking the arrow above or below the knocking point . Great video . Thanks

I nock under. I make my own strings . My serving string nock fit is snug enough that the arrow doesn’t slide down. I suggest you use a tie on nock under. Imagine your all set up and at full draw and anchor the arrow has slid down. Disaster big miss. Good luck keep shooting! Joe

Id check out the other manufacturers advise on that string material for trad bows. 99x is the BCY-X replacement, and its seriously looking like these low elasticity, strong strings bring bows to an early demise. FF or 8125 spec is best. Not these cable replacements

I’ve been making strings for many many years and I love the way the X99 shoots and never had any problems on any bows. Thousands of arrows shot. Tapered Flemish Twist String and puff silencers with this material has been my favorite combination. Thank you. I do understand what you are saying. I use “B55” for non fast flight approved bows / limbs.

Hello Joe, thank you for your recommendation and advice about the limbs! I hope with long limbs is enough for my 29,5 draw! I love this Riser and wan‘t a short As possible bow! A Drake Elite Marlin is 54“ and it can be draw at more than 30“. Stay tuned and healthy!

Hello Joe, Hope you are fine! I got a pair of uukha Gobi for my VPA Riser and i am very happy! I have to tune my bow and adjust the Tiller for split finger shooting. I see you have very usefull advices for me on this video. Wondering about the tiller bolts there are all screw in in my riser. Have I understood right? You have screwed the Tiller bolts 3 and half Turms out of the limb pockets, fit the limbs and adjust the tiller? I try it and take a ruler to Control the depth of the bolts. Your bow seems to have about 8“ brace height. I have also to change my string, cause it is from flex archery. I need dyneema string and get it from a friend who make four strings for me of Lippmann dyneema strings. FF+ is sold out here! The stuff from browning. It is a pleasure to see your videos about VPA and helps me! Thank you and take care of yourself Gaetano

I backed out the limb bolts to have less draw weight. This will keep my 3D arrows from being too weak. Then I tuned them with point weight.
