YES! I was looking for a review on the AL1 for a while, and am glad I found one from my most trusted KZitem archery source!!! Will definitely pull the trigger on finding one of these on the secondary market. Kudos.

This looks like my WIAWIS ATF. Your review sounds similar to how I feel about my ATF.

The ATF replaced the AL1 when the Wiawis line was released.

The basic outline of the AL1 seems to look exactly the same as the SF Forged+ (now redesigned as the WNS Forged Elite), with the only difference being the number & shape of the cutouts, so I wouldn't be surprised if they have reused the same outer forging mould as for the Forged+, and then just CNC'd the cutout sections to an obviously different design. Another reason why I'm so glad I got a Forged+ when I did!

Do you have any experience with the uukha limbs. They seem really nice and people say that they are both smooth and fast but these people are uukha shooters and i would like to know what you have heard.

I have a pair of uukha ex1 36# short, they're awesome limbs, they do have to be tuned right though and your arrows do behave stiffer with it despite the arrows being faster. I would definitely recommend the uukhas, they look sick too

Hey, I have a question about tabs. I use calf hair tabs which are nice because they do not torque the string at all since it has very little friction, however they wear out easily. I see there are many leather tabs which I'm interested in but do they have more friction than the calf hair tabs? Thanks.

A split screen or a small corner view of your target area would be interesting, useful.
@NUSensei

I firmly believe that the target is irrelevant. Too much focus is placed on the target by bow reviewers. The focus should be on functionality and handling. Accuracy and groupings is mostly the result of the user, not the bow.

I understand what you're saying. You think it's a distraction. I'll keep watching; I guess ill just have to trust that when you say it's good it is. But, I might have a tendency to think you're shooting all over the place. Imagination and all! you're doing a pretty good job covering the noise from the cats and dogs, or the random person yelling, "Hey, you just shot me!". Really though, do what works for you; I like your channel.

are all W&W olympic level bows? how much do they cost and do they come with both riser and limbs or do they have to bought individually? does it come with any other add-ons (arrow rest, clicker, stabilizers,etc.)
@Random1023456789

W&W does make olympic level riers, which range from 600 - 800 USD. however they also own a brand called WNS (formerly SF) which has more beginner, intermediate risers, ranging from 100 - 300 USD. Since changing to WNS these risers no longer come with any add-ons. Both of these brands also make limbs which come seperately.

Hi. I also do archery. could you give me some tips to keep my left hand steady because when i release my left hand bends, causing the arrow going all over the target.
@NUSensei

Actively push towards the target. The motion is "push-pull". Maintain this through the shot, not just pulling.

Has your bow string been hitting your arm? Its a common reason people sub-consciously bend their bow arm upon release. Even with an arm guard this can be an issue.

sometimes my bow string does hit my arm
@darylphuah

That's an indication that your form or release is not quite right. I used to have a similar problem when I was anchoring too far left on my face (i'm a left handed shooter), so the string's path & angle was much closer to my arm.
@darylphuah

are you using a glove/tab? Tabs make it less likely that you'll pluck the string. Though string plucking is also an indication you're gripping the string rather than holding it. There should be no "force" in your hand, just tension on your fingers and the "force" should be in your draw moving from bicep to your back muscles (loading). If you do this right, Once you release the tension on your fingers your hand will automatically slide back.

What are the weights of the various Risers. Checking out weights on abbey archery, the forge + riser it is 1.15 kg. The Win & Win inno cxt riser is 1.21 kg. The Win & WIn Wiawis is 1.32 kg. The Al1 came in at 1.32 kg. This doesn't seem right.
@NUSensei

You're right. The AL1 is heavier on paper. My point is that because of the design and balance of the riser, it doesn't *feel* heavier. The Forged+, to me, had more weight on the ends of the riser; the Axiom+L was noticeably top-heavy; and so on. The AL1 is a heavier riser, but the weight distribution makes it feel more controllable and "light" in the hand, from my experience.

NUSensei i understand there is more to it than just weight but it did surprise me that the carbonfibre riser were not lighter. :)

So i want a wooden bow, mostly for target shooting/hunting. I have a budget of 1k to spend on the bow itself. Do you have any suggestions on what bow to get?
@NUSensei
7 жыл бұрын
With that budget, that's pretty much every bow on the market. Go for something that looks and feels like something you would want to use all the time.
@shanemccarthy3005

Honestly if you have a 1k budget I would buy a Bear Grizzly or Bear Montana and get good with that first, you might fuck up your bow since you're a beginner. You can then save up for a custom bow or a higher end bear bow. I have a Bear Grizzly, Bear Au sable, and Bear Super Mag 48, but my most prized bow is definitely my custom bow from Black River Bows. Once you're comfortable with a bow you should definitely go custom with that kind of budget. Plus then you'll have a bow when your custom order takes 6 months or more haha.
