Hi Zane, awesome tutorials thanks mate. Some of the most well explained on KZitem! You mentioned in this video that you may make another video about how to use construction lines like how you would if your measuring up a site in the real world (6:30). Did you get around to making such a vid? Id love to now your tricks! cheers

Really good tutorial! Congrats! However, in my archicad the control box doesn't work properly ( OK button is always off and it cannot appear all the hiding choices ). Have you any idea what's wrong and how can I fix it?

Thanks soo much Zane for the great detailed content Please help. Whenever I switch to 3D mode in ArchiCAD 23., the surface painter palette immediately pops up and keeps on loading forever and ever, such that I cannot close it or do anything else. I have to go to Windows Task Manager and literally shut down the whole project by clicking 'end task'. What setting can I use to stop this from happening. I tried going to Window/Palettes/Surface Painter.., but the Surface Painter option is blurred.

Hmm. Does it do it in a new document? Perhaps check your libraries are loaded correctly. You can also check that the libraries are up to date.

Oh, you have to be in the 3D window for the surface painter to be available.

Hi, good stuff. Lockdowns been a good time to get started with Archicad. Can you tell me how to hide a floor edge between stories. I always see the floor edge but I want the cladding to come down over the floor edge. If I put the floor inside the walls it works but in the section its not right? I want it to look as it would if you built it but I cant put cladding on the surface of the floor edge. Or can I? Thanks. Steve

Yes, the top of your wall should meet with the top surface of the floor so that they intersect (then the next wall on top of that). Ensure that the reference line of your wall is meeting the reference line of your floor too (not the outside of the cladding). It should display correctly in sections if all of your intersection priorities are set correctly (Attributes > Building Materials).
