We’ve missed this type of editing/production over the past couple of videos, good to see it back!

1. What a fantastic home. Love the light, the volumes and contrasts in materials. 2. Felt like this video could have been twice as long - almost seemed like the architect was cut off mid-sentence. 3. So nice to hear an architect speak about his work in an unpretentious manner! I’d hire him …

I came here to say your #3 Very much appreciated! If I hear one more person call a doorway a "portal", I'll rip my hair out!

Love this. A house I could actually live in. Wish more architects maintained the DNA of a house vs. ripping everything out!

One of the reasons I like this channel is that it helped me crystalize my own architectural preferences. And with this in mind, I really like this house. I love the original bones left by the original architect with all those views framed by large windows, skylights, internal courtyards and timber ceilings. And I like SOME but not all elements added by the new architect. I love the contrast between textural ceilings and the high-gloss finish of the kitchen, for example. I even like the wood paneling, which I would normally hate, but it has such a rich texture, it's hard not to like. But I don't like red brick next to it. I think that made it too busy for me. Other than that one element, I love this house!

Me encanta este proyecto. La volumetria, el estudio de la incidencia de la luz, materiales, colores, y la actitud del arquitecto en su explicación. Hermoso proyecto. Equilibrado, sobrio y elegante.

this is lovely. I'm currently rethinking some key pieces in my apartment and for once, I was thinking that maybe 'legs' on the bottom of my pieces weren't always necessary even though it's a thing that legs 'elevate' the look and make it look less cluttered. After seeing this and seeing how 'grounded' everything is here but still maintains a sense of continuity is really great. Thoroughly enjoyed...and I'm a SF lover anyway...coming from LA up the coast for the weekend is always such a treat.

The house is beautiful but would be quite dark and cave-like for significant periods of time. It certainly would have been in the less-global warming SF weather of the 70's.
