I have terrible insomnia and one of the things I've recently turned to is ASMR videos which occasionally work but for the most part don't...this video has helped me fall asleep twice tonight....now the only trick is staying asleep...thank you for this lovely video! I love all these "talking-free" videos. They help keep me focused on school work. I'm currently in Europe for a few months and I brought my schoolwork with me to stay caught up for when I get back, and you and few other asmrtists are helping me graduate. So thank you! :)
@duffthepsych
9 жыл бұрын
Katie Grimes Woohoo! Correction though... YOU are helping you graduate by making the DECISION to engage with content that you find helpful. That makes YOU different from other people who DON'T take as good care of themselves.
@katiegrimes89

Well, when you put it that way I sound super responsible. Lol I totally slacked off for the first month and am currently rushing to finish everything in the next 4 weeks.
@duffthepsych
9 жыл бұрын
Katie Grimes Well think of it this way. You slacked off or chose to do other things in that month. It is what it is and you aren't the only one. However there are two different ways to go about your business from that point forward. Let the disappointment paralyze you and just throw your hands up in the air OR try to cope with the feelings as best you can and commit to doing any anyway regardless. That puts you in a different category from the people who will end up getting Fs on those projects.

i use it to relax while i type at work, and i use it to sleep/relax, might be how you control your own mind to stay awake, or maybe i don't get asmr? ironically random sounds have been used for sleep way before asmr become popular anyways i.e it works for everyone not just asmr people, if you don't believe me look on the appstore, its flooded with apps that allow you download random sounds from library noises to white noises, youtube probably has these too

Just recently started watching ASMR videos. I remember as a kid I really enjoyed certain sounds that my feel weird and I would feel shivers and chills in my head. I didn't even know there was a name for it. I one noise I really enjoyed was the sound of some one writing on a chalkboard. I loved the sound of the tapping of chalk on the board. Pesky whiteboards and smart boards took away my precious chills.

I never usually comment (or even subscribe) to/on channels. However, I had to comment on this one! I've been experiencing ASMR since I was a kid. So having found ASMR on KZitem last year has been a truly remarkable thing. Now I know I'm not as weird as first thought! Sadly in the last couple of months I've been experiencing little or no ASMR from videos (I probably OD'd on them!). But this video has given me so many tingles! Wow. I think maybe when there's talking in videos, I get distracted about topics and I think about that; rather than letting ASMR do its work. Thank you Robert for this video. It's one I'll be using again and again!
