This is a fascinating game. I would like to buy it one day. Thanks for the play through.

At the end when white used a weapon and to attack the starport of yellow. Doesn't the weapon only allow one battle? Not as many as you have pips? Edit, I re read I am wrong. Good game guys.

The run away winner got first pick in the draft and picked the best leader. Did the other 3 players ever have a chance?

I don't think Anarchist was the best leader here, look at Archivist. They get 2 extra powers for the entire game at the cost of Tycoon being semi-worthless for scoring. Considering 2 of the other 3 leaders start with Outrage on Tycoon materials that's an amazing setup. Other players could either have to undo their outrage or focus on other Ambitions to his benefit. Not to mention Anarchist is skewed towards raiding or having its fleet near enemy areas. Quartermaster having a recovery ability for fighting is almost a direct counter and built towards fighting that off. Arcs always gives a chance, just gotta put a lot of effort towards it

So I'm just about at the end and there were 2 fatal flaws from everyone else at the table. First is they needed to keep blue out of their systems. He didn't lose a ship until near the end of round 2. Whereas Yellow, the player closest to challenge him, lost half of his ships in the early half of round 2 for little reason. Limit Blue's ships and he can't tax anything. Barring that, given the main person in position to fight Blue was Yellow, in that third round EVERYONE needed to raid Blue. If they could take away 2-3 of his relics then he doesn't get his winning points at round 3. Yellow was in his system able to raid. Red and Gray neighbored his other system able to raid. I'm kinda shocked that in round 3 the talk around the table isn't about beating Blue down. Without coordination or seeing his victory as eminent there's no stopping him. But also it's a game just to show it to fans and such, they probably weren't going full try-hard

I'm a board game hater but the base game + lore expansion plus the theme made me go out on a limb and preorder this. Thank you for the stream, but I would work on balancing your mic a little bit if possible for future streams. There's an audio hum that could easily be reduced with an OBS noisegate and the gentleman in pink is notably louder than the other players.

The more streamlined game got an additional sale. I think they're on to something with how they've split their product and if I get a good group going I just know I am going to get the campaign or future campaigns.

3:13:01 Can James (Blue) collect taxes from Ken (Red) in the psionic city if he doesn't control the system? I think they were tied for Fresh and Damaged ships.

Yes, because James has the Anarchist leader.

Whats the glory to rome thing?

Based on the game "Glory to Rome," wherein a player may not have a resource when another demands to take one, and instead answers, "glory to Rome." In Heavy Cardboard, it's a PG-13 way of telling another person "go yourself"

A replacement PG phrase for rather less PG language.
