The Arctic Environmental Humanities Workshop Series is a collaboration between the Frederick S. Pardee Center for the Study of the Longer-Range Future at Boston University's Pardee School of Global Studies and the Scott Polar Research Institute at the University of Cambridge. The series brings together the diverse expertise of humanistic scholars, artists, and researchers for a series of virtual presentations and conversations about Arctic issues.
This event, which took place on April 5, 2022, featured two roundtable discussions with Arctic humanists and glaciologists. The event was a collaboration with the International Glaciological Society’s Symposium on Ice in a Sustainable Society (ISS), and the University of Bristol’s School of Geographical Sciences. Panelists included Mia Bennett (University of Washington); Mark Carey (University of Oregon); Zachary Provant (University of Oregon); Adriana Craciun (Boston University); Rebecca Dell (Scott Polar Research Institute, University of Cambridge); Sérgio H. Faria (Basque Centre for Climate Change); Mark Jackson (University of Bristol); and Sarah Tingey (University of Bristol).
