I got the case, partly after watching the video. But, it doesn't fit. On the top, the IO shield part of the case blocks it from screwing it in. Are you not screwing the last 2-4 screws? Also, hits the fan bracket on the other side. You said you are not setting it all the way in. I had to revert to install on the front. To install it on the front also, I have to remove the disk caddy platform at the bottom. However, the arctic cables are very short. Front bracket has lips so it will only go one way. Either have to use RGB extension cable or not use RGB. Anyway lose all capacity for hard disk installation. If the case was a little taller or a little wider, it would have fit easily. I don't think this case should be advertised as supporting 420mm AIOs.

Hello Mark, welcome to my channel. hmm.. the I/O Shield I did tuck those cables nicely and had no issues with it and if you are talking about the 420 AIO radiator screws that has total of 12 screws, they are all in without issues. Do you mean when you screw in the rad at the top, the screw holes alignment is out? As for Hard disk as I see it. you should be able to mount it unless your PSU is way beyond 180mm in lenght?

I do not advise to mount it at the front as you will have lots of obstacle, but you can give it a try. just because when you do that as you might scratch the radiator due to the huge size.

If you do that thermal test, I would actually also very much like to see the results of switching the rear exhaust to rear intake instead. As in, just flipping the 120mm fan. My guess is the top AIO fan furthest to the rear will pull in outside air from the back of the case anyway if the rear 120mm exhaust fan is removed. It might very well affect GPU temps too, but I am really unsure in which direction. I guess that also partly depends on the GPU orientation (horizontal vs vertical) and if its the one you have in the video, or one of the founder edition blower style GPUs.

This case and Fractal Meshify 2 RGB, are NOT OK for the super bulky Arctic 420. Yes it can fit, but with a lot of compromise, like removing a fan from the fractal case, or touching the case fans in Lancool 3...even if you are ok whit that, you still have to mind the hight of the RAM and MB heatsink. There a lots of "if" and "or" so I give up from 420mm and went for Freezer 360mm - it is absolutely perfect for Ryzen 7950x, there is no thermaltroteling even on long hours multicore task (like rendering)....Also the radiator of 360 model is 400mm long and the about 450mm for the 420 model. A fail safe check is if you have a tall I/O panel like I have, and you consider the thickness of the AFii 420, the radiator is 38mm and the fans are 27mm, you would need a space of at least 65mm between the top of the case (if top mounted) to the I/O ports. Thinking of building a new setup with this exact case (in its white form) and with an Arctic LF cooler, although I am a bit unsure about whether I should pick 360 or 420. Not sure if you have tried both but would you say there is a considerable margin of improvement over 360 (for a 170W CPU -- 7950X)? Also another question, this is going to be my first desktop build in a long time and as someone who is really not experienced at that front (routing cables and dealing with mechanical aspects), is there any tips/tricks I should be aware of handling the Lancool III (or if you think this is a harder case to build for a beginner, I'd be on to hearing your suggestions). Thanks a lot for the reviews btw, love your methodology!

Hi Sayin Benoit, to be honest, I have tried both. It’s about 3 to 5 degrees difference by default in a 7950x system. Aio you can use either 420 or 360. Unless you are doing overclocking then 420 will be a better option. As for difficulty on the front I/O part. It’s very straight forward. I have another video that explains the front I/O connection which you can refer to Lian Li Lancool III - Part 1 (Case Details & Impression) kzitem.info/news/bejne/saV44IaGeqJ8aIo

Hi dziobak87, welcome to my channel. all my fans PWM are daisy chained and each set of daisy chain to the respective FAN headers on the motherboard. As for the ARGB, 1st I use this as a main argb controller with a remote www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0BP1JZTND/ref=ox_sc_act_image_1?smid=A1X11FOVGZ8LKJ&psc=1 . There are total of 8 ports and I have left one port to connect to another argb hub extension www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0CRYLT8JK/ref=ewc_pr_img_2?smid=A3LTGIMDZWJTFW&psc=1 to fill up the rest of the fans. then on the extension arb hub, I connect the rest of the fans. Doing this way ensure that my ARGB will have sufficient power as both the main argb hub and the extension argb hub draws power from the sata, directly from my PSU.
@KleoYan

I forget, if I want to use the case argb controller, I just plug case argb to the main argb controller with a remote, which I can press on the remote to M/B, which is taking the instructions from the case argb controller.

Hello! I was wondering about 5:21 part, where you are screwing the AIO to the top. I don't know if I am doing something wrong, but my screws simply won't align on the side closer to me. Not to mention there are no screws to be used there to begin with (manual says to use ones that came with the AIO, but again, there are no that seems to fit - and again, the holes don't align.)
@KleoYan

Hih osiris 4, welcome to my channel. alot have been asking me about this. yes the AIO does come with those screws.. sorry tha't I can't show you the top but rest assure the raidator mount holes align with the case top. You will need to do minor adjustments to get all 12 screws screw in. As what I did, I only anchor screws between the rad and the case holes, then go on with another till all 12 screws are in place first. then I fasten the screws like the way I fasten the thumb screws on a processor. doing it diagonally adjecent to all the rad screws. it takes sometime, eventually you will get them in. no big force required either.

Hi DSbroTV, welcome to my channel. the case itself has three argb cables. for the front fans I make use of two argb connector off from the case and the third cable I plug to this argb hub www.amazon.com/RGEEK-Splitter-10-Port-Extension-Perfect/dp/B08DRKR4B6/ref=sr_1_7_sspa?crid=11C9MOGAFHTM3&keywords=argb+hub&qid=1667510917&qu=eyJxc2MiOiI1LjE5IiwicXNhIjoiNC44NCIsInFzcCI6IjQuNzQifQ%3D%3D&sprefix=argb+hub%2Caps%2C289&sr=8-7-spons&psc=1 from there, I plug the rest of the fans through it as there are 10 arb ports. the reason for this is, the argb cables from the case has a power limit, so I used that argb hub which is powered by a sata cable to extend the range, therefore I am able to control the argb effect via the case argb buttons.

Hi David Aitken, welcome to my channel, yes I did a comparison which is not listed in this video, they are indeed louder compared to Artic. Also, I know there is a restriction but I have done additional steps. On the fan tray itself where you those those slits / slots, i have sealed them using duct tape, reason for this, when the Airflow goes those these slits, it will cause some howling, the concept of blowing through a narrow tunnel. This help to reduce the noise, as for the case airflow, yes it will have an impact but the impact is not that big, temperature increases about 2 to 3 degrees more.

I'm sorry to bother you after 1 year, but your video is one of the few sources of information on this topic. I have several questions regarding video: 1. Is your RAM 55mm tall? 2. Do you think ADATA Lancer Blade RGB DDDR5 will fit? (especially length-wise, since you pointed out there is only 0,5mm gap) 3. Will MSI B650 Gaming Plus WiFi fit since it is about 35mm high on the heatsink at I/O? 4. Will stock 140mm front fans fit? I noticed you swapped them out for Arctic fans. 5. I'm trying to mount LFIII 420mm on top of the case, is LFIII the same as LFII in terms of fitting it in Lian Li Lancool III? Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi zapasowy mail, welcome to my channel. I will answer your questions as follow. 1. Is your RAM 55mm tall? The Dominator rams are at 55mm in height. 2. Do you think ADATA Lancer Blade RGB DDDR5 will fit? (especially length-wise, since you pointed out there is only 0,5mm gap) The length of rams are of standard length and as I’ve checked. Your rams height and the Dominators are of the same height and straight at the side, you should not worry about it.. it will fit 3. Will MSI B650 Gaming Plus WiFi fit since it is about 35mm high on the heatsink at I/O? With the rear I/O and Side VRM Heatsink which is at height 35mm, it will fit. 4. Will stock 140mm front fans fit? I noticed you swapped them out for Arctic fans. For the front, you will need to do this imgur.com/gallery/vHezOSS inorder to close the front cover. Be it using default or the P14 ARGB Fans. 5. I'm trying to mount LFIII 420mm on top of the case, is LFIII the same as LFII in terms of fitting it in Lian Li Lancool III? Yes, both LF2 and LF3 have the same measurements.

Hi! Ive got a question about the Meshcool lll case, does your side panels (the tempered glass) stay locked? Mine swings open if I tilt it to the side, is that normal or is it supposed to be locked when you close the side panels? Like when I lay the case down to the side my panels just open up themselves without having to use the front to open them.

Thanks for the tip on the 120mm fan and flexible studs! I was able to fit the arctic freezer 420 in as well. However I had to put it angled and could only screw in about half of the radiators screws. Also the clip for the front fan bracket is blocked by the radiator and the bracket will not emerge with the radiator in, I bent where the clip grips the screw a bit and it helped. But in your video at 9:10 it looks like you have removed the screws from the bracket for the clip but you never mention that. Did you do that and is the bracket stable?

@@KleoYan So your mount bracket is held in only by friction and gravity, interesting. Unfortunately I don't want to mount my fans on the inside of the bracket to block the LED so I have no room between the case and bracket for the fans with that position. @@desmondrice8373 hmm. I see. yup I mount it that way and it's not by friction or gravity lol.. there is a front lock screw on the tray that hold it still, I have no issue with the argb showing the front this way. as I dont really see the front when this case is besides me. I care more on performance and what I can see inside my case. I mean i like detailing more than argbs. for me, with white ligths to show the PC components are fine. I guess each of us have our own taste with PC build, but I for one will never like to turn on ARGBs as they create more heat inside a case. example, argb that lights on the blade, they do generate heat, if they are intake, these heat will carry to your PC components. maybe is not that much but a branch of ARGB fans from front and bottom. that is enough to increase the temperature from 1 to 2 degrees.
