Please leave this up; I was at the front of this against the podium, and was hoping they'd play Sandtrap and This House Is A Circus as openers, and once I heard the intro, I knew they'd play them. Such tunes... I even have the setlist Alex threw in the public at the end of the gig. Brilliant evening!

Then I was standing close to you, barrier center ;). If it's up to me this will never be deleted. Even more so, I re-uploaded it after 10 years. Probably their best gig on Dutch soil, maybe even beating the small venue gigs in 2005-2007.

Still watching this, and passing by every now and then. My first monkeys gig was at the old tivoli in Utrecht next to the gracht. This was the second and after this album it was never the same again. Thanks for keeping this up!!!

Ahhhh, thanks for putting this one back up! 🙌🏻 So glad pre-AMUS days. It wasn't until AMUS that I realized how much I hated the old forum and some of the people that lurked there. Truly glad you've stuck around for so long and can be the one people come to for factual recall of all things Monkeys.

@@strangedaysindeed9 hey man, do you know what the string section they walk out to is called? Sounds like it’s from a movie or something, struggling to find it!

@@Rab552 Of course. It's the opening title score to the 'Darling' (1965) movie, orchestrated by John Dankworth. The quote is from the same movie.

This footage is amazing. Do you have anymore from this gig? The camera angle this is filmed from is just perfect.

Thank you. And thank you to my girlfriend at the time who filmed this for me, while I was soldiering away in the insane crowd at the front row, haha. When I uploaded these originally in 2007 on my original account it were one of the most watched videos from the FWN era. Anyway, to answer your question: my plan was to re-upload all songs I've got during the 10 year anniversary, but I think I got bored again and never finished editing. I possibly have got another song or 2.

@@strangedaysindeed9 it would be massively appreciated if you could find the time to upload any other footage you have from this gig. I miss the arctic monkeys from 2005 - 2007, particularly when playing gigs like this. They were unrivalled how good they were live during that period.

Does anyone know the opening song which was played before they come on? like how it was for one which i don't remember due to the mild efflugence of inebriation that i'm engulfed in. One was The City of Prague Philaphormic Orchestra's Cavalleria Rusticana for Texas 7 June 2006. What is the one being played before they open! like how they played I Don't Want to Miss a Thing for 2011 or Heartbreak Hotel by John Cale for Reading. i can't remember but shall check for Valencia. @strangedaysindeed9 you owe me twenty quid. Now then Mardy Bum? Matt thunders us into the view from the afternoon!

The mild effulgence of inebriation was almost not noticeable at all... Anyway it's an excerpt of the 1965 movie Darling directed by John Schlesinger: _“We just sort of began to meet. He had tickets for this, or he thought I might be interested in that. It was really mostly mental, to start with. There was nothing deliberate about it. We didn't know what we were doing at all.”_ It’s 6 minutes in, the music is from the soundtrack by John Dankworth. Now, can I have my twenty quid back?
