One of the wonderful things about its existence is the drumming. So why belittle it? Whenever I hear Meg White’s drumming, I always LOVE IT. I LOVE her drumming, yet all THE DRUMMING EXPERTS routinely put her down, and make comments like yours here. It has to do with FITTING THE BAND’S SOUND. This drummer fits the Arctic Monkeys like a hand in glove, just the same as Meg fit and Ringo fit.

Because its easier to sing that way, you can concentrate more on the singing than remembering the strumming pattern. This song was written quite early so they probably made it that way to make it easier for themselves.

Yes, but I know what he's feeling there. The constant halting chord changes creates a sort of turbulent atmosphere that is reminiscent of some mathrock acts

Matter of preference. I prefer the Strokes better even if I like AM too. The Strokes were a huge influence to AM anyway and both bands respect each other so there's no need to go around comparing and stuff

sound the same? didnt know only ones who know, brianstorm, suck it and see, the jeweller's hands sound the same. they changed their style every album: first album; post-punkt, indie-rock second: indie, indie rock third: psychadelic fourth: indie rocknroll, pop-rock, psychadelic and lyrically ? alex turner is a lyrical genius. if you don't believe me, listen to love is a laserquest, it's hard to get around the wind, the jeweller's hand .... though i love the strokes they're one of my favs
