Would love to use this as a simple dot/bar generator for testing/adjusting arcade monitors since they take RGB and sync directly on their chassis. Gonna have to get a color burst and see if I can get this going. Thank you.

I think that the software can be made simpler if it is an analog RGB monitor. I am also making a VGA signal with Arduino. Connect Arduino to VGA input on TV (sorry too loud) kzitem.info/news/bejne/xn2e2YJvgImZZ20

Great work! But what are the values of the resistors and their connection with the arduino and the rca socket ??
+Nabe RMC Thanks sir for your reply .. I really appreciate it .. I have another question about the crystal .. I can't find the 14.318 MHz crystal in local market .. is there a hack that can be done to get the circuit to work with the normal 16 MHz crystal ?? I also want to use only the green color .. does this make any difference ? thanks in advance ..

@NabeRMC
3 жыл бұрын
It's downcloked, not overclocked. For NTSC signals, the color is determined by the phase difference and amplitude from the color bust signal. The frequency of the color burst signal is determined to be 3.57954MHz. 14.318 18MHz crystal can be used to match the color bust frequency with 4 instructions = 4 clocks. But i didn't do it like you did in the video. So can you help me out and tell me which resistors goes to which arduini pinout? Also do i still need the two 0.1uf caps, Are they 0.1uf caps?

NO! Either write this up as an article, or have a human being explaining the circuit and software. A slide-show with awful, awful, objectionable music, is not the way to get information across. This must be one of the least informative videos on the Internet.

:-O O.O Wow. Just... chill. Nobody owes you anything, especially +NabeRMC. The video was produced in 2013, and nobody cared back then, so why should they even bother adding more info? And six years later you're going to insult him rather than politely asking for more information? I highly suggest reconsidering how you're going to extract information from NabeRMC without foaming at the mouth. NabeRMC is under no obligation to play your style of music, hold your hand through your college capstone project, or do anything beyond demoing what he was capable of doing back in October of 2013.

so, you realize this guy is from Japan, and the video is 6 years old... right? Styles of music vary greatly from country to country... I can tell you this is Japanese Techno from about that time period, and is still in fashion. You haven't watched flat earth videos, or you wouldn't say this is one of the lease informative videos on the internet. I've only just found this, and already found the code samples, and his google drive archive of the photos, I'll probably have his demo working in an hour or so... not sure why you are having such a hard time with it.
