Yeah, twice is enough especially for seniors who take longer to recover from exercise. I have a 6 pack at 70. I suggest yoga class as part of that regime. But don't do low effort cardio as a senior. It's muscle and cartildge wasting.

@@teksight9714 In the past, I used to train five times a week, but with my busy schedule, I started training only twice per week Honestly, with well-loaded and organized training, there are good results (Although it's slow) especially in skills and strength and the inflammation it's decreased

I'm retired now and workout everyday, actually I've been working out that way for years. It's an addiction and I just feel better doing something everyday, I think the body was meant to be physical everyday to some degree.

I literally left a comment on another channel's training video about an hour ago asking if two workouts a week were enough, and then I get this video in my feed. You just released this video an hour ago, and the algorithm already sent it to me and I'm wondering if artificial intelligence read my last comment on the different video and then routed your video to me. I was already subscribed to your channel so maybe it's just a coincidence or an example of the concept of synchronicity, but I find the timing very strange. Thanks for the video. You answered my question and more.

For muscle strength building, I think your muscles should be used everyday. This idea for me anyway comes from the way we as humans start walking, why our leg muscles can support us and be worked so hard more than the rest of our body. So from that point, a little usage of our arms everyday would help develop the muscle endurance and strength (to some degree) similar to our legs. No need to strain the muscles just like standing up and walking. You're not overloading them but just using them so they get worked everyday

how do 3 sets of 10 reps of full body workout plus warm-up, plus isolation, plus stretching fit in 1 hour ? is it only 1 exercise per gruop? i mean , only pullups/pushups/squats 3 times and no more exercises? i find it complicated because i train 3 sets of 3 exercises per muscle group (push/pull/legs) and it barely fits in 1 hour, no extra time for isolation. i am clearly doing something wrong then. i do follow a program of warmup, strengh/skills and stretching.

Thanks for the video. If I work 6 times a week, 3 one hour upper body workouts (Monday, Wednesday and Saturday), and 3 45m lower body workouts (Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday), do I let my body enough time to « heal » from the sessions, or should I work less (or try to work lower body some same days as upper, but it is less easy with work and family life) ? (I’m 41, but I only started sport 2 years ago, and calisthenics 5 months ago) Thanks for your help !

Twice a week is OK for bodybuilding and getting pumped up, but if you want to work on skills, you need more frequency.

Actually no. For planch 2x a week is way enough. For FL 2x is enough but you recover faster from it so a 3x a week is also good. Doing more is just tendons mistreatment.

@@LucasRousselot-z3v That's true about planche - twice a week is plenty! But I also work on one-arm handstand, HSPU, levers and Stalder press, and find that I can't fit all of them into one session. A straight-arm / bent-arm split works for me - so at least 4 or 5 days a week. I used to get elbow tendonitis, but I never do anymore - mostly because I changed my eating habits and because I learned to do lots of stretching and joint prep.

But let's be honest, how many days a week does a professional gymnast train? 6 or maybe even everyday? And how long did it take you to reach your current physique? People will not look like you by training 2x a week even if they train for 5 years. The problem is when you tell them they will look in shape they think they will look like you. Its not going to happen by training 2 times a week.
