Mine came with a fairly cheap starter kit of leatherwork stuff, and it's never had any issues.

I bought a curved tip pair of this style thread snip, but it is an exspensive one that is made in Japan by a real sword maker. They were around 60$ and they are worth every cent!!! They are just as sharp as my paring and skiving knives, and they cut everything.... paper, thick card stock, thread of any size, twin, yarn, wool, leather cord.... literally anything a pair of very good scissors can. They are absolutely incredible and well worth it! I'll never NOT have a pair of them.

How cheap are we talking about here? I have a pair I paid $3.25 USD for and they work perfectly fine.

Perhaps they are not adjusted correctly. I bought expensive ones, and they also had a problem so I readjusted them and suddenly like a razor.

Lol that's a 'no' then! And those are spectacularly bad! It's a shame that so many of these products look so similar. Finding good ones (Fiskars are maybe not traditional enough in style to appeal to some people) can be difficult.
