Omg that was frustrating. Not you but those lashes! Thank you for showing us how to actually apply them. I’ve been wanting to try them but I think I will stick to glue lashes for now. You are so sweet and beautiful. I’ve been watching you ever since the hair loss video, I too suffer with hair loss. Thank you for being so real 🤗

Ugh I know I was getting so worked up hahaha it was a pain. Maybe I got a dud or I'm doing it wrong idk but I think I'll be sticking to glue lashes as well for now. Thank you - you're so sweet! I'm glad you've been enjoying the channel for so long

I agree with you about the magnet placement and not being able to wear with thin eyeliner. Try the half lash version. I haven’t yet, but that’s my plan because it seems like they would work better.

I had a similar experience with magnetic eye liner lashes! Especially with that inner corner lifting up because the magnet doesn’t go all the way to the very end of the lashes. I just went ahead and snipped off that 1-2 mm of the lash that kept lifting up which may/may not help. I still think these lashes are easier to put on than glue lashes and reduces the risk of ripping out your lashes but unsure how sturdy/stronghold they really are. I’ve seen a lot of marketing ads for Glamnetic being stronghold and waterproof-hold but $40+ for a pair of eyelash seems excessive lol. Great review/video!

@ZoeCavey

I feel that lol I think sometimes with regular lashes the glue isn’t suited to everyone.. like when I was younger my eyes used to water like crazy so it would never stick🙈 it eventually stopped but there’s definitely a learning curve and if I had to relearn that at my age now I wouldn’t do it lmao

hot tip I learned years ago with liquid eyeliner. if the the brush comes too thick, take scissors and cut it at an angle. Leaving some longer at the end and use that to make a fine line.

I was so excited to try these and because I have almond shape eyes that are small and hooded, I found that the lashes wouldn't stick or stay on my eye no matter how much eyeliner I added and I found it to slide around when I moved my eyes too. They really do suck and I'm glad I finally found an honest review like yours. Thanks for putting this video out there. ❤️ Edit: and yes I got mine at wallgreens too and it was around $14-$17.99 dollars and I bought multiple packages of 2 different brands. Had the same experience as you. Thanks for being so real about your experience because fr I felt the same as you, I saw these magnetic lashes replacing glue lashes in the store and thought "oh this must be good then if it's working for so many people to the point that it's getting harder to find glue lashes now" so I bought into the temptation but they sucked! Glue lashes or eyelash extentions are SO much better than the magnetic lashes from my experience. I felt so bad for wasting money on this shitty product too. I felt like I fell victim to a scam beauty trend that works for some people and not for others. I also tried cutting the lashes to fit my eyes but the magnets are spaced out in a way that I can't cut it down very much without cutting off a magnet that's necessary to get it to stick. The lashes also can't bend very well to the shape of my eye so it just kinda sits there on my face. I feel like it's meant for a specific generic large eye type of facial feature instead of almond or smaller shaped eyes. I also felt it was sticky on my eye even when it was "dry" and felt like if I was on a Rollercoaster the lashes would just fly off lol. In the past I used glue on lashes for amusement parks and they stayed on and in place. I don't think the magnetic lashes are the future either. I am personally finding lash lifts and tints and waterproof mascara to honestly be better. As I've gotten older my make up is more natural looking now and less based on drag make up or full face makeup. I kinda like the no make up make up look. I find that lightly exaggerating your natural features to look much better than full cake face make up. And I find it less stressful when it comes to doing it daily because its faster and better for your skin. I used to legit spend 3+ hours getting ready every day with a full face of makeup and rainbow hair extentions clipped in my hair, but found the minimalistic natural look to be better for my skin and less stressful to do every day. (Not that a full face of make up or cake make up is bad. It's definitely a gorgeous look too and if people want to do that type of make up, I 100% support it.) I just am too lazy now to do it at this point lol. But I respect the artistry of it. I think you are very beautiful, down to earth, and very genuine so far from what I have seen in this video. This is the first time I've seen your channel too and I'm totally subbing. Hope your yt and life continue to get better and better. And fuck these magnetic lashes lol they were a total rip off 🙏❤️🔥

I remember when the first magnetic lashes came out - the ones where you needed to sandwich your own lashes between two sets of lashes. Everyone on youtube was saying how easy it was. I could never get it to work for me, despite multiple tries. Money wasted, for sure. I am curious about the magnetic liner method though. I think the key is clipping the Lashes so the magnets go to the very edge of the lash, but the manufacturer should have thought about that! I do wonder if these are as easy as most on youtibe claim. I'm glad to hear an honest review. I really enjoy hearing your opinion on things.

Eylure lashes are the worst. The best brand is Glamnetic, the best low end lashes are the Kiss lashes. Also, most people do cut to the next magnet and avoid putting them near the tear ducts as they don't bend very well and pop up. It's better to cut the inner side to the next magnet and place higher up on your inner eyelid.

Zoe Cavey can I ask you a couple of questions. My wife which is 41 years old just very very recently started losing a lot of hair due to alopecia and is slowly going into a darker place. To the point where she doesn’t even want to leave the house because of it. Did you eve meeting find your self in the same situation and if so were you able to over come it? And How? One more quick question in a early video you were discussing Toppers, can you wear those in a pool / or lake, and ocean with out the topper falling off and or discoloring. Thank you in advance

Zoe, you always seem sad and I understand perfectly but let me tell you that you need to take care of yourself mind, body and soul wise. Do exercise and eat healthy, be happy! Because you are lucky to be so beautiful and we need you as our role model and speak person I mean as an advocate for us thinning hair girls!! It’s time for them to provide us with a cure or an effective treatment for pcos and aga, they always say it’s not important we aren’t dying from it but it indeed it’s traumatic and it affects our mental health and self stem. Please Zoe help us?? I beg you? Think about it, come up with something and I help you.

Lmao "am I getting old?", Is this our version of not being able to send an email lol No dear, yes we're getting old but the lashes clearly suck. Thetes probably better brands. Just be careful with that liner, in order for it to be magnetic there has to be little specks of metal in that! May just need to shake it like the magnetic polishes. Metal probably settled since it heavier than the medium it's in.
