This study looked at how taking an NAD+ booster supplement called nicotinamide mononucleotide (NMN), which is involved in energy metabolism, impacts aging and inflammation by specifically in the kidneys. Mice were given either MNM, a peptide called Elamipretide or both for 8 weeks. Elamipretide is not a supplement. Both compounds are touted to improve mitochondria dysfunction. Do they work better together to improve kidney health?
