The Dunkachino video is actually a scene from the Adam Sandler film "Jack and Jill", in which the plot revolves around Sandler working at an ad agency trying to get Al Pacino for his commercial. Since it's the plot, the movie studio gets to pretend that they're not just advertising to you.

Thing is, they only come in packs of 4. It would technically be cheaper to buy the ingredients yourself, because you'd get more drinks out of a bottle of jack and a 2-liter of coke or coke zero, but with the cans you're paying for convenience. If I'm going to a party I'm not hosting myself, I'm not going to drag a bottle of jack and a 2-liter of coke there. It'd make me look like a snobby asshole. If you're talking about what I think you are those fall under the "not a cocktail" umbrella. They don't use the spirits they're supposed to they just mix some fruity flavors with wine for the alcohol content. Nice sometimes on a hot day but not going to be the best tasting cocktail you've ever had or even a half decent expression of the cocktail they claim to be.
@mollieh1312
Жыл бұрын
@The_Game_Professor Freezer door cocktail refers to prebatched and often pre-diluted cocktails you make yourself and keep in the freezer so you can just pour a cocktail without mixing ingredients or stirring (usually stuff like negronis or old fashioned as citrus in shaken drinks will bring the abv down and it'll freeze). The quality is entirely dependent on your recipe and ingredients. A while ago I prebatched a rum old fashioned with a blend of Doorlys XO, Smith and Cross, and a little Hamilton 151 and it was scrumptious while it lasted, which was not long!

I know a bunch of these were tossed at you, but I would think a lot of them would probably need a good tumble/mix/light shake to mix up the ingredients. Especially if it's a more natural ingredient product where settling could occur. Might make that first sip disgusting and not representative of the product.

Hey Greg, love these videos! They are always extremely informative. I havent looked since youve put up this video, but a month or two ago, I was trying to get the Post Meridian drinks from watching your previous video, and I could jot find them on there at all. Ended up buying dorect from PM's website. I like the ide of the canned cocktails as a way to try something new, without having to worry about having large quantities of ingredients leftover if I dont like it.

It may just be a regional thing in Virginia, but the Devils Backbone Smash series of Vodka cocktails (Orange Smash, Lemonade Smash, and Lime especially) are really refreshing, and 10%.

Best canned cocktail I ever had was Templeton Rye's mule, but It also helps that I bought it in the same state that the distillery and bottling company is in, so it wasn't sitting for long before I drank it.

Just got to the Bacardi canned things and I have to share a story now A few years back I was living in a city with extremely close access to warm beaches, so my go-to method of relaxation (at least every other weekend) was to go to the quietest stretch of beach I could find, alone, and just relax in the sun for a few hours, sometimes with a drink. One time I was at the liquor store and in the RTD section I noticed that Bacardi sold rum punch in *_bags._* Like full-on Mylar bags with a spigot at the bottom. Thought it'd be a fun thing to bring to the beach (and, to be honest, in a profoundly dirtbag moment, hoped that since it was vacuum sealed and alcoholic, I could possibly even just leave it in my cooler between beach trips). This was a far cry from the rum punch that appeared in this video; in addition to being still, it was something like 14.7% ABV. Kind of tasted like dollar store fruit punch with one part Malibu and two parts well rum. It was easy enough to drink though, especially on a hot sunny day when the bag was ice cold. Too easy, in fact. I hit it way too hard. At one point I was drinking straight from the bag, full Bacchanal. I then fell asleep in the sun. I woke up several hours later to the tide coming in and soaking my belongings, sunburnt, dehydrated, and still a little drunk. I had apparently drank like half to two thirds of the bag and felt like a sun-baked dog turd. I really don't know how I didn't get sick. The cherry on top is that I actually had a quasi-date scheduled that night for about 5:30. I woke up on the beach at 5:15. Needless to say the date did not happen. Still one of my most embarrassing moments.

Unsurprisingly the less ingredients that suffer not being fresh. Anyway, the only pre-made drinks I blindly trust are the recipes from Kevin Kos (Cocktail time)! (or throwing some Ice-cream cocktails out of the freezer, which are regarded as "the best cocktail ever" by our trusted boozy nerd :D)

Greg, would love to know how you feel about Tip Top Cocktails! They are one of my favorites! They use real lime juice and real mixers.

The Copper Can brand of Moscow Mule served chilled is pretty good. Be sure to swirl or shake it up gently though to mix it up
