I can attest to the good heart...I 1st met Mo back in 2008, few months in we had hit it off. I was unemployed and so was he, we were always at my house playing FIFA all day, without me saying anything, he could tell that I never had food. One night he went home at night and came back to my house after having told his mom about my situation and he would bring me a plate of food. My main man this one...genuine guy, selfless and too kind. He also take his craft seriously, we would watch one series called Terminator: Sarah Connor Chronicles and he always brought a pen and pad taking notes, one of the reasons he's one of the best artists we have. One Love Mo Blizzy

Yes South Africans don't vote for mainstream and popular stuff. We assume that just because everyone loves the show or artist votes will magically happen. That's why non mainstream shows and musicians win even against big names because those supporters vote.

Motlatsi Mafatshe is an incredibly talented actor who has brought many memorable characters to life on both the big and small screens. His recent interview with David Mashabela showcased just how thoughtful, insightful, and passionate he is about his craft and the film industry as a whole. We have truly enjoyed watching him in his various roles, including his standout performances on Isidingo, and can't wait to see what he does next. Keep up the amazing work, Motlatsi!🙏

Ntate Mashabela does not drive the guest, if the guest wants to talk about his career at the start of the interview, he allows that. However, he will find a way to include the introduction along the conversation. I think that's a skill a lot of Podcasters need to possess. Have a conversation, allow the guest to speak their mind. There's this tendency of podcasters who will make the guest feel like they are on All Jazeera or Enca and bombard the guest with prepped questions.

Actors and celebs in general are too entitled for my liking. You cannot want to be paid royalties for acting. I can understand writers and creators of shows wanting to profit from their intellectual property but wanting to be paid forever for acting is like myself as a software engineer wanting my ex-employers to continue to pay me whenever my code is used on websites and apps I built for them
@whizzkidkis
Жыл бұрын
In Hollywood, actors get paid RESIDUALS. South African actors are struggling because South African shows are popular in the Caribbean and Africa, sadly these countries don't pay a lot to buy the shows, hence the reason why South African actors don't get much.
@SirTerryZW
Жыл бұрын
@@whizzkidkis South African actors do get paid residuals when they feature in Hollywood productions. The issue is when they try and seek special treatment in the local market. Imagine if we all started expecting our local employers to give us the same benefits as our colleagues in bigger economies. Do we also start expecting TV network providers and cinemas to start charging the same prices as the USA? Where does it stop?

It's not entitlement man put everything else that is involved in a script minus the actors and let's see how long that show or movie lasts Actors are what bring the story to life and make it interesting many people watch movies for the fact of their favorite actor is starring in it they don't watch it for the writers and the directors those are secondary thoughts on the public and medias minds the actors are the first thing they think of so them getting residuals or royalties for their hard work, time and dedication that's going to be shown trillions of time throughout their lives and long after their dead and still making a lot of money of those commercials and especially soapies and movies since commercials do get royalties they did for them all those times it's only fair they are paid each time it makes money again not once off low payment of a few thousand for something that will make the producers millions on the first release ALONE!!! and hundreds of millions to billions each time it's aired regardless of how long ago it was since the actor participated in it
