I have three of the GEN 3 magazines. they run flawlessly. All three combined, I have over 900 rounds & not one hiccup.

I bought several of their 9rd mags for my G43. Worked fine with target ammo but kept getting failure to feed on the last few rds with duty ammo. I tried many different types of ammo. They took them back and tested them and told me they were within their tolerances. I got them back and still had the same problem. Haven’t used or trusted them since.

Two mags, no failures, BUT, gun cycles rough with my carry ammo. So it’s a no go.

I too bought gen3 for my G43X. Had issues with them. I list them on several videos. I went back to Glock OEM 10 rounds with no problems. I want 100 % reliability. I did mods to my Shields Arm magazines. Will work now. Other considerations are quality of ammo and strong grip as opposed to weak grip etc.

i’m glad to see that they’re continuing to innovate on these magazines. I wouldn’t carry an aftermarket magazine but that’s just me. I would actually prefer the single stack Glock mag because of two reasons one its factory and factory is always best and two single stacks feed more reliably than double stack. granted, it’s pretty rare to have an issue with a quality magazine and feeding but single stacks tend to be a little bit more reliable and at the end of the day that’s what I want reliability. if I ever encounter a problem that requires more than 10 rounds to solve I probably wish I had a rifle and a couple of buddies if you know what I mean.

To be accurate, the Glock mag is not a true single stack. It’s just not as widely staggered. More like a 1-1/2 stack.

@@SurvivalOnPurpose even the ones for the slimline series? I've never disassembled one but they look single stack.

The 43 mags are true single stacks. The 43X & 48 mags have a slight offset in the rounds below where they narrow down to the feed lips at the top.

I took a small punch and dimpled the back of some Gen1 mags outward and now they run 100%. I did this through the hole at the front of the mag at the top.

One comment on whether 5 more rounds can be a downside. 5 more rounds of heavier 9m is nearly 4 ounces. For a Glock 43X that is an increase in weight. If your pocket carrying or appendix caring, maybe that makes a difference or maybe it doesn’t. And an outside the waistband holster obviously it doesn’t and might even make you more accurate with your first few shots And less recoil, but it is a consideration.

I tried the new gen3 and within 200rds i had multiple failures. The worst being that the follower cocked sideways and got stuck in the mag release hole not allowing the last 3 rounds to load.

All aftermarket mags are trash. Only OEM factory mags should be used in Glock firearms. If you want 15 rounds then buy a Glock 19.

Not sure I agree that ALL aftermarket mags are trash. In fact, how many Ar-15 makers even have OEM mags. But I agree about OEM Glock mags. They just plain work.

10 rnd Glock mags work. If you feel the need for higher capacity, they still make the 19, great carry option. Want smaller, thinner, with higher capacity? Sig X, XL or Macro. Or Shield+. Or Hellcat/HC Pro. GX4 Carry, Massada Slim, FN, Canik, PSA, Shadow Systems and even Stoeger make micro width carry options with higher capacity. People buy Glock because of percieved reliability advantage. Then they make their Glocks unreliable with aftermarket parts. Nearly every gun in the list above is 100% reliable (a few may not be 100% but most I've owned or tried are) out of the box, including 43X/48. If you like Glock, learn to run it stock, or deal with the issues you create, before trusting it. OR, you can buy nearly anything else, get a better trigger, sights and capacity. i own P365X, a few Macros, an AXG P365 Legion, a GX4, a Shield+ and a HC Pro, I've experienced a handcfull of failures from that combined list. A bad mag in the Shield+ and a first mag FTF from one Macro, that never happened again. I have run 100s through most and 1000s through the ones I chose as carry guns, namely the HC Pro, and the various P365s. My primary is now the AXG and pocket summer carry, is P365X (since Xmas 2018, never a failure in many thousand rounds). I work at a LGS/range so I get free range time, cheap ammo. Choose wisely. BTW, best optic Ive found for all of the above, by far, is the EPS Carry. Try one if you like dots. Ive got 4 so far and its the best Ive ever used on RMS footprrint guns.
