Yup! It’s amazing and very Nintendo to also work in a unique way whenever they’re connected to the Switch itself. But useful nonetheless.

Having used these and Snes online controller - i wish they'd have had them so that you can charge with usb and just done away with these being 'joycons.' - they're no great to use attached imo. Also, they lack the versatility of the Snes controller in what you can play, i know this might sound like something captain obvious would say, but even the Snes online games you can use these with is limited - For example, Donkey Kong Country (a two button game) has no remap, using the Nes for that will see you have no run button and nothing you can do. If your wanting these as a collectable or puerly to use with the Nes sure get these - i rarely use mine as they don't have the versatility tbh and in the end feel novelty. Also if your on the go, they don't go in a lot of cases- being wider, not a deal breaker but to be considered. As the review says - closing software is daft, should have had a a home button. I'd love to see a version two - that gave these a bit more versatility with what i said - while staying true to the OG. If your wanting something more universal, play arcade archives, Snes titles etc. These are just not worth it at the scalper prices that are common imo. I will say they look super cool - apart from the top where they attach to the Switch and they are built really well. 🙋🏻♂️

abig- dealz Don’t you have those games you really wanted to buy on your 3DS, Wii or Wii U though? I mean I know I do and I wish we could’ve transferred games from the 3DS, Wii or Wii U to the Switch and maybe we will be able to one day. I always thought it was so cool that I could transfer my Virtual Console games from my DSi to my 3DS and again to my New 3DS, and my Virtual Console games on my Wii to my Wii U. So I have all of those games on a Nintendo Console and a Portable and unless the Switch is a lot of people’s Nintendo system in generations you all should too. I do think these should work with the 3DS, Wii and Wii U though; they definitely should’ve made these work with those systems too.

Nintendo could have canceled this thing months ago. But they didn't, because the Nintendo Online works for the tons of people bought it. You vocal minority have been shitting on Nintendo Online for months, while the vast majority find the service to be fine at what it's supposed to do, online multiplayer. If you guys want to make a difference, then how about actually telling everyone through social media to cancel their Nintendo Online subscription? Otherwise, your complaining about this service is just a waste of time.

5 жыл бұрын
Actually you can mod your joycons to have a dpad. Its not the nes dpad but Im sure there is a mod out there for nes dpads.
@KuraIthys
5 жыл бұрын
That would break game compatibility - some games use the directional buttons AS actual buttons. If a game does that, then it may fail with a d-pad since you can only press at most 2 'buttons' at once that way. It'd also completely break the functionality of using a single joycon as a controller. (for that to work you'd need a d-pad taking over the function of the stick, NOT the directional buttons.)
@funnyguy5516
5 жыл бұрын
@@KuraIthys kzitem.info/news/bejne/qqyYs6pvb3iilXo Its mainly for single player and fighting game use. It doesn't really matter about the "breaking functionality" problems where you can't press multiple buttons. I have a pair with a modded dpad and I've never had any issues even after playing a lot of games using the dpad as buttons with the one joycon.
@AnalogNate

Is there no USB-C port on the top? So it seems like they charge from the switch only, but also look much larger than the standard joycon so third party chargers won't work that way. These seem so very difficult to maintain for charging since all of that. so I think that's the only reason they offered the rails? Am I misunderstanding the setup and charging process?
